Leaves us with even less bodies in midfield. With Green already injured it looks like Brown will have to partner Austin with no cover on the bench other than young Thompson. Maybe we could have done with Derry after all
I read that tweet & it never dawned on me that it was Norris. I somehow thought it was Green they were talking about. Too many new names for an old man to remember !!!
I like your outlook but it does show after a few games in how wafer thin. our squad is. If Byram and to a certain extent Poleon not be impressing we would look a hell of a lot worse. Great example of that is we are now hoping Thompson can come in and do a job, which is no disrespect to the lad but its a huge ask in a Warnock team thats pushing for promotion I'm all for giving the kids a chance and they've looked good but would I want to put the pressure on them we are going to be under this season to perfom and grind out results. I'm Not sure thats fair to be honest. Byram looks like he hasn't got a problem playing in front of the crowd which is all good when results are going your way but its a long season and a massive ask for all of them
Let's not panic. It's only 4 weeks, and if I recall correctly, Green should be returning about the same time. So in the next 4 weeks, we've got 6 games (7 if you include October 6th). We've got Austin & Brown as our first choices DMs, followed by Pugh & then Thompson. It's only a blip, so let's relax a little. I think I'd be more concerned if we lost 2 CBs or 2 strikers. We're relatively well off in the DM dept.
That's the trouble when you buy players from **** countries like Scotland and Jamaica - no matter how old or bad they are, they still get games for their national sides
Oh i know mate, i just thought you guys were a Scottish outfit playing in England. i must have read it wrong, sorry
I'm with you OLOF after all these Millwall lads bang on about us knowing our history so you cant be wrong Millwalls best ever player please log in to view this image Now he would tell you the history of Millwall if he was still about
Although it doesn't say much we've probably got more options in central midfield this season than last. Austin, Norris and Green have replaced Howson, Clayton and Vayrynen and considering the Finn was a terrible option are rarely called upon, we are slightly better off in terms of depth.
That picture of uncle Albert is his team photo Bucks, looks a bit young don't ya think. Also i thought that the reason the Wallies play in blue, cos of their Scottish roots
Uncle Albert? Sorry mate I was meant to load up a pic of maik taylor but you can barely spot the difference
I always understood Millwall were a franchise team, like MK Dons. They used to play somewhere else (it probably was in Scotland, I forget) and moved to their present site in London and didn't even have the decency to change their name a bit. In fact I think they've moved more than once. The original Franchise team, eat your hearts out MK Dons. Did I get that completely correct, TC?
Not that worried about this as Brown can take his place in the middle. It will then be the same formation as we played Oxford, whit Austin in a more free role If Austin comes back injured then I will start to be worried
If he was still about he would still get in the millwall team, and he would be one of the younger players.
The loan window opens shortly anyway. Does anyone really expect we won't be using it regardless of injuries?
