I wanted to nominate a late entry of Phil Babb wrapped around the wood work (remember that) with the words "QPR N606 - tackle the post, not the man" but couldn't find a non-blurry picture.

That's a great image mate. Unfortunately its about 20 years out of date, IE there's no player that's played since the mid-nineties. Good effort though.

Love the artwork, brick wall etc. seriously. Great effort. Shove a Taarabt or Cissé in and you have a hands down winner. I'm happy to let my fourth worst effort go by the wayside if so. Northy & Brix please note.
He's talking about Legends not has-been's and never will-be's. We have had one or two since Ferdinand though HooperMan. Gallen, Furs, Rowly and Ainsworth would all be worthy of that title IMO.
Listen up, Swords. I went to see my first game in 1972. I've seen enough feckin legends in my time. Don't get on your high neddie thinking you know it all, because a lot of us have forgotten more than you know. I'm thinking a banner that will cover ALL bases and not one that just catches your eye should be the way forward. Hooperman has this just about spot on but with the omission of a legend or two from recent years. Ask the 'kids' and they will tell you. Taarabt. Cissé. These two names will be up there. Rant over. For now.
Fair enough pal. Respect for your undoubted loyalty to and knowledge of our beloved Hoops. I'm not quite sure however that there are any "kids" on this Site and if there are, they shouldn't be. I'm sorry but to be calling Cisse a legend after barely a dozen games is far-fetched, especially given the legacy of the other players on that banner. And if that other brat is being equated on a par with the likes of Francis, Bowles etc I really do despair. Lets not destroy a great banner by adding some clowns face to the end of it. There's a handful of players since the mid-nineties that are far more worthy of that status than the pair of Jonnie come lately's you've mentioned. I respect your opinion though mate. (As it happens, I still prefer your montage!)
I do wonder if we should only try and have players who are in the squad now The trouble with adding players from the past is what ones should you include
