Hey Peeps, After much speculation, I can officially today reveal the news that we have been waiting for :- Thats right folks!!! Flamingo Land have opened the long awaited Prerodactyl ride.... (A151ft rollercoaster) It looks as if Shaun Derry was on Warnocks hit list. The 35yo former White, a defensive midfielder would be keen to team up with his former Manager; hUGHES (MARK) had other ideas and named him in his 25 man squad. Does anyone on here think Derrty could do a job for us. Personally, I'd be disappointed if Derry were to join us!!! Leeds United trialist Peter Poloskei has received a vote of confidence from former Whites striker Bobby Davison. Davison managed 24-year-old Poloskei at Ferencvaros and said the forward resembled a âyoung Dean Ashtonâ when the Hungarian club signed him in 2008. This got me thinking about our former players and what they are doing now. Brian Deane works for a Solicitors firm somewhere in Yorkshire. Ian Baird manages Eastleigh Town (near me) Do you know anyt others?
Mornin Elland. Just hoping for a line in the sand today and we can all get on with whatever were left with
Morning all - I too would have been annoyed with Derry signing for us, what can he offer that Brown, Austin or Norris couldn't.
Morning all! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about today, even though it will most likely pass without hearing anything! I will be constantly checking the net at work so not alot will get done! Any ideas as to what time they will be sitting down to talk? Apologies Elland-had a think, can't think of any exciting former players having interesting new career directions. They're all still in football, or are doing media/punditry!
you can draw the line in the sand. if a Leeds fanatic with billions in the bank wont buy out Bates,or invest in Bates,THEN WHO WILL ? YOUR STUCK WITH HIM get on with it
The biggest celebration in Leeds since we last won the League. You wouldnt know what that feels like of course
Theres a very strong rumour going around, that the full truth will be released once the T/O has been done or not done. Bates is on the ropes so I'm hearing, and I don't know if that's financially or otherwise. There are media bods who know the full details but have an agreement to keep schtum until its over one way or the other. Now that's one thing that does make sense. Its dragged on for far too long and obviously a lot of dark reasons have stopped it progressing.
Morning All Couldn't really care less about Derry wasn't he the one of gave Palace our starting 11 a few years back. that's such good news about the rollercoaster And here's 2 for the where are they now but I think these ones are well known... Vinnie Jones is still trying to be an actor. He was in an American TV show called 'The Cape' that got cancelled after 10 episodes whilst seriously being slated by critics across the world. Eric Cantona is now the Director of Football at the New York Cosmos who I think are still trying to get an MLS Licence
The media will not keep it in, they get too excited when they have got wind of anything that someone else hasn't reported yet and just throw it in the papers or on the net as soon as they can
What do you mean trying to be an actor? He's been in some pretty awesome films whether he is good or not is a different debate but I think he has been more successful than some that would be considered as actors
Morning all Half day booked, beers in the freezer lets just hope we get the news we want today so our club can finally move on! Tony Dorigo works as Sports presenter Radabe has linked up with the South African national team Mel Sterland was a photocopier sales man (not sure if he's still in the trade) and author Chris Fairclough is a coach at Forest Chris Whyte coached in Finland David Batty does a lot of charity work including Cancer research Lee Chapman owns bars up and down the country Rod Wallace had a stint at Kingstonian coaching the youngsters, dont know if he progressed or not Tony Yeboah, international playboy- Yeboah was also the centre of a bizarre sex scandal that emerged in early 2011. According to ex-striker Peter Ndlovu, Yeboah slept with Zimbabwe coach Charles Mhalauris’ wife after Zimbabwe humiliated Ghana at the 2006 African cup of Nations. Yeboah, a proud Ghanian, apparently confided in Ndlovu – ‘When a man insults my country, I insult him by taking his woman’.
Don't see him as an Actor see him as a footballer same as Samantha Mumba great R&B singer (obviously not as good as Beverly Knight) but not an Actor.
