I thought I'd nap the wonderfully named Louis Ludwig today, solely because one R. Johnson has made the trip to Sedgie for just the one ride. I'll be favourite, but must take some beating I suppose.

Good thanks Cyc. Just bought my ticket for Ascot on 20th Oct to hopefully see Frankel in action so can't complain.

Good luck with your bet.

Don't bet anymore Ollie. As for the Frankel fest, enjoy it, you probably won't get another chance to see one like him. :)

Morning, people. Lovely card in the South of the old county today with a Listed race and over £100k up for grabs. The standout for me at the meet is in the ‘lucky last’ where old boy Roger Charlton and Willie Twiston-Davies join forces in a heat where the old ‘attitude adjusters’ can’t be used. LOVAGE (5.20 Salisbury) looks nicely treated off a perch of 65 and the daughter of Exceed and Excel may have to much for the opposition as a result. Also at Salisbury am very surprised at the quite generous quotes re SONGCRAFT in the 4 runner conditions contest (4.20). I think he will benefit by being stepped up in trip and has always hinted at having a touch of class about him. The odds-on favourite may be vulnerable to Songcraft’s turn of foot whilst the other 2 combatants have it all to do on official ratings.

Meanwhile, up at Sedgefield am hoping that my old fave, INDEPUB (2.20), can get a victory on the board at the old winter game. His decent 2nd seven days ago was more than competent and that should have put him spot on for this race.

Good luck, one. Good luck, all.

I’ll go with Lovage in the ‘lucky last’ at Salisbury, Cyc. He’s the biggest price of the 3 that I’ve mentioned but I think he’s got a first rate chance at nice odds.

Some decent racing for a Thursday <ok>

CAP O'RUSHES looked very good on debut winning by 8 lengths runs in the 1.40 at Salisbury against Newbury maiden winner Glean and a Brian Meehan newcomer

My nap today is 20/1 shot RAVENS TOWER running in the Red cap of Godolphin (2.30 Haydock) went off joint fav in the maiden Cap O'Rushes won. Seemed to be first choice that day and did show some promise despite finishing 8th of 10. Got a bump early on in the race as well. Have seen a few Godolphin juveniles improve significantly for the run this season so will take a chance on this one doing the same.

Salisbury 1.40 - Glean: Evs (nap)
3.45 - My Sharona: 7/2 (NB)
4.20 - Chiberta King: Evs - Interesting race, one dropping back in trip the other stepping up, am i right in thinking Salisbury is up a slight hill? Songcraft hasn't finished well over 11 and 12f, Chiberta King needs to make it a test of stamina and will stay the 14f much better, Jimmy Fortune is experienced enough to know what to do. Lily in pink will probably win it now i have not taken her into account

Can i put up a nap in a 3 runner race without looking like a twat? He's not the favourite!

Good afternoon all - Salisbury looks a really nice card today. One that looks interesting to me is Rainbow Beauty in the 2.10. Certainly some very intriguing horses (Street Cry, Motivator and Duke of Marmalade fillies) but I always favour those who've had a run against those who have not so have taken the 6/1 on offer.
