Am I the only person that thinks Joe Allen is massively overrated?? When the guy is isolated 1v1 he panics and loses the ball! He is a one trick pony who can only pass the ball 5 yards backwards or sideways. Its funny that he has been liverpools MOM the last 3 games and the only one who the pundits were talking about, MOD,TALKSPORT and 606........the only mistake i can see and its a biggy is letting Carrol go before securing another player up front, I would not be surprised if Brendan dont come in for our new sensation MICHO in the next window......Liverpool will be fine and you could see in the Arsenal game that you were unlucky not to score on at least 3 occasions, If they had gone in you would not be here now.....Remember Arsenals bad start last season...
Can't understand Newcastle wums on Liverpool's board at all. Is it just because they're a bigger club than you ? Then again I saw the rubbish on the Sunderland board on the weekend claiming they booed Taylor when he was stretchered off and now this, expected better to be honest. Reds fans, it's only 3 games and It takes time. You're going through a major transition so take no notice of idiots visiting your boards. Joe Allen is a good un you could do with some more like him.
Interesting stat from Sunday's game: Gerrard and Suarez lost possession 46 times against Arsenal in the final 3rd. It shows you that both players are rushing the play - we saw numerous attempted flick ons by Suarez, and a number of defence splitting balls by Gerrard.
I remember watching a pre-season video of the team training and commenting that it was a horror show and things needed to improve. This doesn't suprise me but I think it will work given time
early days yet. 3 ****ing games in, 2 of those were against arsenal and city. the west brom game i don't wanna talk about. BR needs at least a season to implement his tactics into this new Liverpool side. however the lack of goals is a big problem and really the only few choices he's got is to swap Borini and Suarez or throw in Adam Morgan, read that he scored 80 goals in a season when he was 10. not bad not bad
We battered the champions and was robbed by an individual mistake. We'll be fine. A lot of the football we play is good, but it will take times and practice. The more we play the better we get. This season is a write off anyway so its just about using this year to get the players used to Rodger's ways, reinforce even more next Summer and then have a proper go next season. The owners have already made this clear so hopefully that will take the pressure of Rodger's and the players and they can just relax this season and spend it learning a new philosophy. I think we'll come 8th again without much of a problem. We've just got to stick with the team, the manager and reduce our expectations for a year or so and just enjoy our new passing style of football.
