tractorbhoy in that case I owe you an apology - I misread and thought you said he lived just outside London On the subject of how we could afford him. I'm sure there are loopholes galore to exploit.
lancs - apology accepted. On the financial side, there may well be loopholes which mean we could legally afford him but if we were not prepared to stump up cash for championship player wages this transfer window then I think its highly unlikely that we would be prepared to pay Redknapp most probably 3 or 4 times what Jewell is on.
Christ alive, i popped on here just for a little bit of fun and to have a joky windup, which to me was obvious and all of a sudden i'm an idiot along with a couple of others!! I personally am not fussed as its all ifs and buts but i would say you are all totally wrong, MARCUS EVANS CAN AFFORD TO BRING IN HARRY AND HE CAN AFFORD ANY PLAYER HE WANTS, HE JUST CHOOSES NOT TO PAY OUT THAT KIND OF MONEY, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!! Oh and PTC, I WAS RIGHT ABOUT JIM FROM DAY ONE, USELESS TWAT WITH ZERO MAN MANAGEMENT!!
Spanish, very difficult to tell on the internet who is joking and who is being serious. If you meant it in a jokey way then fine but might be an idea to make it more obvious. If you meant it then I stand by the 'idiot' comment, If it was a joke then fair play and it almost did annoy me
What do you mean all of a sudden??? I still think the argument with Jim could go either way after all he is the last manager that we finished in the top half with and I'm pretty sure we would be better off now if he would have stayed!! On a side note Di Canio reminds me a bit of Jim, has the talent and desire but you wonder if he might upset the applecart too much!! BTW i knew you were having a jokey wind up, i was just following along!! Hence the enough to bite comment!!
Ptc, glad you realised, i thought calling you all Ladies might have given it away, normally i would call you all THICK TWATS if i was being serious!! I thought the same about Di Canio yesterday when i read about his latest spat with the GK!! With regards to ME and Harry, i honestly think that finances wouldn't bother ME if he wanted Harry, i think it is quite feesable that he would push the boat out to get him should he want him. I do think though that he is prepared to give Jewell time which is fair enough!!
Harry Redknapp is a **** manager. Well done in bankrupting Pompey to win your only honours Paul Jewell is a worse manager than Redknapp. Simon Clegg and Marcus Evans haven't got a ****ing clue as to what they are doing with our beloved football club. The amount of bad decisions made would have sunk lesser clubs. We have been losing the support in droves. 10k in 6 years. Bar Evans, I would like to punch all these people in the throat, I would also kick clegg in the face for pretending to be a CEO as well as being an arrogant thick ****. Our club appears to be in a downward spiral, being run by ****ing clowns. I am so hacked off with it it makes me sick in my mouth a little bit. Ah well, at least we were good and famous once, something that many other pretenders haven't got. Did someone mention Magic? I'd give my right nut to get him back, that's how dogshit we are
Blue Monkey, that is the most sensible thing I've ever read on here. I particularly liked the bit about Clegg's throat. We should pack him off to Guam and appoint someone who knows more about football than cooking the books.
Just something I would add to that view Blue Monkey to make it balanced, you forgot to mention that are turnstiles are nice and shiny!!
Harry can stay well away, wouldn't want him anywhere near the place. Monkey is the man today, well said. We are seriously going the way of Coventry. Too many years without relegation or promotion makes us not an attractive place for players to come. We are stagnating into something beyond recognition.
I see where you are coming from but Coventry definitely wouldn't have been able to sign players like Chambers or Taylor both whom were courted by PL clubs apparently!! I have to say I was slightly concerned that we were going that way but to me the signing of Taylor and possibly Boyd are a sign of intent because I thought we didn't stand a hope in hell of getting either of them (mainly Taylor)!!
tbh, Harry's getting the blame here for something which i think was beyond his control, when he went there Mandric was the chairman and could finance the deals that were set up, it was only when they sold the club to people who couldn't keep financing it and didn't have the money they said they had that the problems occured! This brings me on us, I think we can all agree that ME trusts Harry, so would finance him to the hilt. I would like to know what ME'S plans are for the long term as only after ME has gone would the problems set in. Do i think Harry would come here, no, would i like Harry to come here, if the assurances were made that we wouldn't be sold of to some dodgy foreigner then perhaps.
I know this is nothing to do with me, so feel free to tell me to foxtrot oscar, but the one thing 'Arry HAS got in spades is man management, he can get players turning cartwheels, he doesn't spend his own money, so if an owner sanctions a transfer fee that is hardly his fault! Having said that, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't come to Ipswich because of the aforementioned problems of his having to commute from Dorset!
True but that wasn't my point. I don't think Taylor has been because he wasn't at Peterborough when they were relegated was he?? What is your point?? You've made mixed statements the past couple of seasons Supers, alot of the time I agree with what you say then other times I just think it's your ego (alter ego??) talking.
