Two match ban is more than I ahd hoped for but a one match ban would have been the bare minimum. Pushing an official is unacceptable.

Because it is out of character, was minor and he apologised immediately, I'd hoped for a one match ban, but I can't say that 2 matches is over the top. You really can't do that sort of thing

With today's technology he could give instructions to JC from anywhere in the ground on what he wanted to be done.

Yeah, but Pardew didn't mean to push him really. It looked like he was just trying to get his attention.

The official flinched and made it look worse than it was. However, putting your arms to an official is still not right, but Pardew apologised immediately.

Should have just been a warning IMO. He set a good example by apologising straight away, and worse incidents have ended up in lesser punishments.

Would have gave him a one match ban, and should have been the Chelsea game. This ban could have been done by now if the FA knew what they were doing.

He was just explaining to the official how Clark was getting away with doing it throughout the game.

I'm happy with a two match ban and a 20k fine could have been worse.

Two games is excessive but I think a precedent was already set with the Wenger case.

Now, now. I hope you are not suggesting bias. The ban would still have been two games. Fergie would have been furious though as he would feel the linesman should have been banned for at least three games.
