    Godders is back!

Agree with most points. It was a great, if frustrating, match. The booing of Guly was awful as I don't believe for one minute it was due to his driving offence (I can not condone that at all and back NA in throwing the bookmat him when sentenced). I fell out with my Dad over Guly today. He doesn't rate him, which is fair enough it's his opinion, but last week we were walking down the steps when he singled Guly out for a poor performance. I thought he was ok last week. Yesterday, we hadn't even left our seats and he turned and started to blame Guly or him coming on. I rather rudely told him it was time to end that conversation.

Anyone who does boo this group of people that currently occupy our club really don't deserve the success that they've brought us. I'm not sure what good they think they're doing but I wish they would take their "support" to a different club. Maybe a stint down the road would make them realise just how good they've got it right now..

In the Northam, what I could hear was a lot of people shouting "Guuuuuulleeeeee" when he came on. Just like the shout of "Steeeeeeeeeeeve" for De Ridder, I think it sounds like booing at a distance.

Even the vitriolic Guly hater who stands behind me (and with whom I've argued) wasn't on his back. Nor was anyone in range of me.

The "boo boys" weren't getting on Fox, he was just our worst player. Slight difference.

We are in block 37 in the corner of kingland and northam and there was no great booing of Guly from our area - i noticed a few sporadic boos but nothing significant in amongst the din.
I was as surprised and as disappointed as many with the substitutions, given the match situation at the time, but i always accept that the manager and his team should know what they are doing and us supporters are just a buch of individual, over-opinioned, know-it-alls who really know f all !
But hey - i really enjoyed yesterday at St Marys for 80 odd minutes - deflated at the end but well pleased that our team can play so well against top opposition.

I'm seriously worried that at some point this season Guly could get the Eboue treatment. I hope it doesn't happen, but 95% of the people around me grumbled when he came on and at least 75% made comments along the lines of 'you're **** Guly'.

A lot of you have voiced an opinion in regards to the substitutions. Both in the City game and the Utd game. Both games we have come away with nowt after them. As I have said in a previous thread In my opinion it is the lack of Premier experience by NA which is the problem at the moment. Like the Team he too has to learn and he will have no doubt.

Agree with that Beddy. It's a steep learning curve but Nigel in particular has shown throughout his career that he is a fast learner!

I agree with everything you say Godders. It is exciting to see how far this team have come in such a short space of time. League tables are irrelevant currently.

I agree with this. Yesterday Nigel took our three best players off, when all three looked full of running. After Ricky went off, in particular, we had no outlet for our pressurised defence. Also, Fox did look exposed at times.
However, it's a steep learning curve the players and staff are all on, Nigel included. You live and learn.

I didn't hear any booing, btw. Just some disgruntled moans about the subs after the game.

Sorry Archers, but from where I was sat they were tiring fast. Lallana in particular looked shagged; I haven't seen him look so tired before. He had a great game, but I thought he was blowing.

Maybe you're right. I'm pretty sure Ricky would have continued to cause them problems though. He was too much for Rio Ferdinand to deal with, and the more we played it long to get out of jail, the better he held it up.

I was absolutely gutted yesterday, really in bits all evening. Yes, it was a great performance full of positives for the future, and a fantastic afternoon's entertainment, but having got ourselves so close, we should have got over the line. Them's the breaks, though.

Yeah, & fergie time is really starting to get on my tits. See him come out pointing at his wrist in about the 85th minute, just so the ref knows how long to add on. Be glad when he no longer influence's the game time, he has had it his way for far too long if you ask me.

Was going to berate you with your second line but agree with your comments. I would say though that this was worse after the Wigan game. After yesterdays game most people just seemed stunned with a mixture of pride at how well saints played, for the majority of the game, and gutting frustration at losing from 2-1 down with 3 mins to play.

I'd like to see a heatmap of all those in the ground who didn't go to 3 or more games at the end of our Championship relegation season 80 mins during the Wigan game. I'd then like to see if there's much heat left in the stadium from them at the final whistle.

Sadly there's always a minority of utter pessimists going to Saints games. Let's just ignore them and keep supporting the Saints! Great support on Saturday apart on the whole.
