It's his constant bitching of Cortese in public is the thing that annoys me. It's like he's a lil kid trying to get one up on Cortese every time, it's sad as ****.

Oh great now he's tweeting the Official Saints Twitter page to try and get a reply about "respecting the past".

    Grow up.

As I said before, I can see both sides of the argument and imo it's very petty, very petty

MLT was linked to a takeover bid that could have seen us go down the tubes, but he was excused because he is a hero to Saints fans. Nicola has achieved a lot and his personality/behaviour (?) may get up Matty's nose, but he would be better served to say nothing.

Even if we avoid the subject matter - which one of Cortese and Le Tissier is using Twitter (and occasionally national television) as an opportunity to take cheap shots at the other?

I never saw Le Tiss play so I have no bias there - I don't like the man and think he's making a complete fool of himself. Couldn't wait to blame Adkins for the defeat today, just because he's Cortese's choice and he doesn't understand modern football IMO. Plonker.

Precisely. Imagine the uproar if Cortese took to the OS to write an article himself and publish it, slating Le Tissier's behaviour.

We will never truly know how Le Tissier may have acted towards Cortese to perhaps form a negative opinion.

But taking cheap shots on the internet and on national TV is not cool.

I like MLT and I like Cortese.MLT is part of our past and Cortese is part of our future, both legends.

Cortese is the best thing to happen to Southampton FC in a long, long time.He convinced Markus Liebherr to buy the club,he signed Adkins,he decided to invest in our training ground,he is the one with the vision and some people don't like him because of his strong personality and drive, if he walked out of the club,we would fall down the leagues, I don't think some people understand how important he is.

Can't he just get along with Cortese?

I have liked MLT, I like Cortese, but that can all change in time, call me fickle if you like.

    Agree. He's a noticeable character.

People are saying "but it was blocked at the turnstile!!!" - well yes, Le Tissier was already in the building, so therefore his ST did not need to be active during that period. It was disabled, and then someone tried to gain entry, and it is not their ticket. Fair.

Losing respect for Le Tiss. why do footballers or ex footballers have to spout off on twitter. Be a pro Matty and suck it up. I have had stuff like this happen to me before and my pregnant fiance !!! It happens, get on with it.

It's very unprofessional and he's acting like a school child....!

    Pathetic, both Le Tissiers.

All he's going to do is have people think less of him...!

He also said in the Pre-match build up how Gaston Ramirez is on double the clubs other top players.

He hasn't got a f***** clue what the players are on.

    Very unprofessional.

Le Tiss was a great player... WAS.

Cortese is our chairman who saved us and is keeping our club afloat by running a tight well organized ship... IS.

Big difference in time. Without Le Tissier, we would have gone down, but without Cortese, we wouldn't have had a club.

Without Liebherr we wouldn't have a club. Not sure about Cortese.
