    I voted for Jose

Anyway, using Ze Liverbird logic, I have compiled this table...

    Ranger > Lover
    Lover > Jose
    Jose > Tiote
    Tiote > Simpson
    Simpson > Jonas
    Jonas > Colloccini

So there we have it, undeniable evidence that Ranger is the quickest player at NUFC.

  3. I'd agree with Ranger as the fastest sprinter but i forgot totally about him. Ranger is extremely fast and strong, but to me he doesn't work when we're try to play patiently in midfield, he's more effective when we're attacking and playing fast paced, otherwise his strength and pace are useless and he's standing around.

It may even both worth trying this line up once this season -

    --------------Shola----------------

    Jonas---------Nolan----------Ranger

    -------Barton-------Tiote----------

Ranger would be deadly as RAM, running at defenses.

    He's 31 haha.

But he really does have some pace on him still.

Watching Ranger last season I thought he would end up as a second striker or central attacking midfielder because of his link up play and awareness of players around him, maybe he'd be a better assister than goalscorer?

I don't think Jonas is fast at all mate, he holds the ball and dribbles well so moves quickly but in terms of covering ground he takes a thousand steps to move 20 yards!

  13. Have you see how quick Colo is going up the pitch? He's extremely quick.

Are you joking mate? He's rapid, how many times have you seen him out sprint fullbacks this year and last? He's amazingly fast. And I dont understand how you think he takes tiny little steps. He's at least 6 foot and takes massive strides. Watch out for him in the Blackpool match he's rapid!

Yep, nowhere near as fast as Jonas though, even when they do their sprints when warming up before matches Jonas is still always one of the quickest. Colo isnt actually that quick. Can you remember him getting outpaced by Elmander? As I say he's still a quality player though!

He doesn't out run them, they just back off him because he holds the ball so close to his feet. They actually run backwards and manage to keep up with him! That's why he wins so many free kicks, they get sick and foul him!

    Jonas is QUICK like.

It's just a shame that Ameobi looks like he's trying to run through hummus.

No he is quick, im actually shocked you don't think he is fast?! And defenders dont run backwards, when he gets along side them he accelerates away from them. Just watch the Blackpool match today and you will see...

I think Jose...I can't remember him ever being outpaced by someone and I'm sure he gave Lennon a 5 yard head start and still got to the ball before him! He's like the speed of sound!

Tiote is quicker as the Earths Rotation! He's just runs the opposite way giving the illusion that he is running slowly, but it actually running extremely fast, nothing runs as quick as Tiote!

Yeah I was probably being a bit extreme, he's a quick player but in an out and out sprint I think a few toon players would out run him.
