Like I said there was one. Maybe I didnt make clear. I was not critising the lad, I think he was one of our two best players today and hope he retains this form, and still wants to be here come January.
I know you weren't criticisng him, i just thought you might want to see the stats back up your claim that he occasionally (key word) misses a pass.
The thing with Allen and I have watched Team GB and most of your games is that Xavi creates chances with a final ball, Allen doesnt do that he gets the ball and moves it forward 5 or 10 yards without really creating. He is more like Deschamps the water carrier they use to call him, gets the ball move it on the someone who has better creativity and can make that killer ball. Allen doesnt seem that type of player and seems a bit limited but thats just me watching games on TV and not a dig just a honest opinion.
I do know what you mean, but we have seen a few times him playing a disguised pass in to the feet to Suarez in the final third which has lead to a few chances. I think the problem is at the moment we've coming to terms with a high pressing game and keeping possession, once we start penning teams back we'll see Allen in much more advanced positions for him to show us what he can do
I hope so cause the lad is quite strong for his size and great in the tackle maybe when Lucas is back maybe drop Gerrard and see what Allen and Sahin can do in more advanced positions and have the creativity that you have been lacking. Btw how good a player is Sterling going to be, he is a little gem but so strong on the ball and comfortable running at player and taking them on with either foot. A world class player in the making really excited for him, Liverpool and England.
Absolutely Sterling looks like a real player, we all expected him to break through eventually, but not as quick as he has done. Let's hope we don't burn him out to quick but he certainly looks promising
Allen will be the best Welsh player of a generation, excellent passing and finding space, makes everything look easy, always committed to close the ball down. Look after him, I'd love to see him back at the Liberty one day! If your fed up with Borini could we take him in the January window?
You would get even more out of Allen, if he didn't have to carry Gerrard!! get the over the hill lump of lard of the pitch, and give him a coaching roll please, he's embarrassing! And move Borini up front, and put that buffoon Suarez out wide................
Bit more respect needed Phil, you'll never see a player as good as Gerrard was playing for Swansea. But yes, our loss today was largely his fault. We were on top before his mistake.
He's overrated by Liverpool, and no way would I want him anywhere near my team, and by the way Swansea have had far better players than Gerrard in the team down the years, don't show your ignorance!.............
