I like it, thought it worked well.
We can have 2 strikers on the pitch and Koren in a central role.
We could do with a more attacking left wing back but we actually looked like we could score alot of goals yesterday.
Simpson was fantastic ! Why wasn't he given a chance last season I wonder ?

It was brave by Bruce but matched Boltons 4 - 5 -1 formation.

Personally I would rather him play 4-4-2 but if it works, I could not give a care in the world.

I wasn't there, but it seems to be working, a good performance against one of the fancied teams for promotion and 3 goals into the bargain, cannot be bad.

Personally like the formation, it can either be really attacking or really defensive, but yesterday's was an attacking variant. Find it more attacking than a traditional 4-4-2 with more solidity at the back and in midfield, the only area it lacks is width at the top of the pitch due to the lack of wingers, which means a striker has to pull out wide and get into those far corners. Worked well with yesterday's team but I can't see proschwitz fitting into it very easily, he doesn't have the pace do drag out into those corners and take people on like Simpson and Aluko have.

Down to Pearson and Nick not spotting what he's capable of. Also both had their favourite players and mates to consider, rightly or wrongly !

i agree, i said yesterday people should give it a chance....some people talk like 3 centre backs is overkill and just putting someone extra in there for no reason..when in fact at times the back 3 covers just as much as a normal 4 with assistance when needed from the wing backs, and when we are on top like the second half yesterday, we have 7 men pushing forward instead of 5/6..
a striker pulling wide isnt too bad when you have midfielders prepared to gamble, like quinn did, that was my favourite part of yesterday...it was only a tap in but most our other midfielders wouldnt have been anywhere near it...

that's what I liked about Quinn, he got into the box. Something that didn't happen much last season
