    As one of my teachers liked to point out, after the Angles and the Saxons colonised the south of Britain, it was a toss up between calling it 'England' and 'Sexland'.

    I'm closing this thread, it's went well of course and the Irish lads are to blame - English people are allowed to celebrate their national day without someone starting a mud slinging match with them.

    If you want to create another thread about St Georges day please do, Rebel, Hash and all stop brining politics into it.
