Ok. We know what we've got in the squad now, so what would you're first choice team be?
It's not easy and I would suggest that we will see some rotation of players for home and away games and depending on who the opposition are.
I'll try to name my first choice line up, but as I say, I think there could be 3 or 4 different "first choices" if you get what I mean!!

    -------------------Cesar--------------------
    Bosingwa------M'Bia---Ferdinand--------Fabio
    -------------Diakite----Faurlin---------------
    Park-------------Granero-------------Taarabt
    ---------------Cisse-------------------------

Have we bought Mbia as principally a central defender or defensive midfielder?

I actually dont think we have a 1st choice 11, I think the 11 will depend on the opposition and tactics.

What an exciting problem to have. Just hoping the famous gelling occurs very rapidly and we see some quality football, especially at HQ.

I gather MH thinks he's a CB but can play CDM, which is a worry because I hear people say he's a better CDM.

Re Cols formation, I'd like to see what Nelsen can offer at this level. Hoilett for Adel. The conundrum will be up front. I'd hate to leave out Cisse but BZ offers something different. If we play them both them something else has to give. Tough decision.

On the official site Hughes intimates that he wants to use him as a CB but acknowledges his flexibility.

Yep....I can see a lot of very good players sat on the bench at different times. But that's what we all said had to happen to enable us to compete at this level!

I don't know until we find the best formation... is it 442 or 451 or 433. Until we find out then we have a better idea of which best players to play in the system that suits us best.

I personally think we do better playing two upfront.

Agree with your team Col, with Hoilett and Taarabt alternating depending on opposition etc

I think with the players we have in Midfield now it should relieve some pressure on the defenders.

Thinking that myself. We now have Ali,Diakite,Grenero,M'bia,Derry all fighting for 2 places in the middle, (unless he changes formation). So i guess he will use M'bia at the back or just in front of the defence.

Hughes said he was bought as a CB though he is aware that he can utilise him in midfield too.
