I think that Owen on a free would be ideal for both the club and the player, however i have my doubts that he will come to the SoL. Its my understanding that he has his stables not far from Stoke. Your thoughts?

On a pay as you play deal I have said previously yes. Owen scores goals. That's not in question, however he can't stay fit long enough to score lots of them.

So long as he isn't looking for £100k a week, then its a no brainer. What a fantastic player to have on the bench or as a partner for Fletcher.

That said, he is as likely to sign for Liverpool as he is anyone else after this window. They look weak as piss this season and only have Suarez as a recognised striker.

He's a greedy little bastard, he's up there with Richard Wright.

    Don't want him.

According to Five Live (at 2 in the morning when I was coming off duty) that is exactly the opposite of what he has been seeking Cest, apparantly he does NOT want a pay as you play deal and was looking for min two yr deal at min of 80 grand a week. Sorry but cannot see any club giving him that.

Last thing we need is him turning up in his helicopter for training.

It's a bit like the Mensah scenario, great player when fit but can he stay fit? pay as he plays deal and we can't lose, anything else is too risky.

You'd never sign any footballer if you set your benchmark so high. 90% of them are greedy mercenary ****s.

Just imagine tho' we did get him and he's on the bench for us when we play the unwashed. Its 0-0 with 10 mins to go Owen comes off the bench and scores the winner in the last minute right infront of the Geordies.

Carlsberg don't do "up yours" but if they did...................................................

Not for me this one would score the odd goal here and there but, would have the Physio on speed dial also wages he would want at least 90k+ a week. Even on a pay as you play deal he will still get paid for not playing yes nowhere near what he gets if he doesn't play but, still more than you or I would get in a couple of months.
    Leave well alone.

You have a strange understanding of what is ****e there fella.

158 goals in 297 games for Liverpool
16 in 45 for Real Madrid
30 in 79 for your lot
    17 in 52 for Utd

    221 in 473

An average of a goal every 2.14 games at the very top flight of European football in his career

Oh and lets not forget he got 40 goals in 89 games for England as well.

At 32 he is hardly ancient and that's your version of ****e I'll have another 7 or 8 like him thank you very much. You are obviously a very bitter mag about his time there?

However, as I have said, its his injury record that is the problem, not his ability.
