Add the turnover of the club to all that, new sponsorships with Warrior and Standard Chartered, there is a lot of money out there with someone.
I don't think people are pissed off so much about Dempsey specifically. You can debate the merits of him as a player and how he'd have fit our system all day long. It's the fact we couldn't land our target despite letting 4 players leave in 24 hours.
Can't help but support him and wish him the best. Hope he goes and scores loads this season and makes us look stupid.
I'm not gutted that we didn't sign Dempsey or sturridge, in gutted that we got nobody, let the big man go and left ourselves short. Someone in the hierarchy, Ayres I suspect, is guilty of ****-wittery of the highest order. I think fans are right to voice their views. FSG got their initial strategy spectacularly wrong and doubled cash away on sub standard players. What they did this summer, I.e. Not invest in the squad, is just as big a mistake. I for one am happy to give them and BR time to implement a system as long as mistakes are learned from. Id be happy with a respectable league position this year, 6th or 7th.
My spell check id annoying, spunked, not doubled. It keeps putting test when I mean twat too. But it lets me write ****ybollocks, go figure.
Carroll just gone off with what looks like a bad Hamstring injury. Gone to West Ham and now injured, just gets worse for him.
One does apologise, dear sir Unfortunately having lived in America and Australia for most of the last 11 years my language is a little..........hybrid, to say the least!!!!!
Read the OP and i have to say that i totally agree with all the points mentioned Some fans do need to take a chill pill It will all come together we all just have to show some patience get behind the team, management and the board AS THEY SAY ROME WAS NOT BUILD IN A DAY Starting with today get the 3 points against the Gooners COME ON PEOPLE KEEP THE FAITH
We dont want to end up like spuds fans.. booing their manager and team at home games, what a fkn joke. 3 game in new team more or less without vDV and Modric. New manager new system and they are booing after 3 games. W T F I am honestly of the opinion Kenny never even remotely had enough time but admit the handling of the Suarez thing was something the Americans were never going to forgive. Make no mistake, If Carroll and Suarez and co had their shooting boots on last year Kenny would be still in the job. It would be disastrous not give Rodgers 3-4 years as long as we don't go backwards. As long as there is progression that is OK. I think FSG are consolidating as far as LFC and finance are concerned as there were a lot of frayed financial edges in wages and players surplus to requirements, if you want to move forward you have to reign everything in for the push. I imagine we will not see large investment in the squad again until next year. If Woy can get Fulham to manage what they did then Brendan has the resources to do the same but with a higher league position. 4th is anyone's guess this year. I think it makes sense to give the manager a year before throwing money at him as at least you have an idea of what he's up to by that stage.
Why are you defending Villas Boas?, the man is a clown. VDV was pushed out, and Modric left because there was more chance of Everton winning silverware than Spurs. Spurs are a joke side, and top four is up for grabs, and we're in the mix.
I am not defending anyone my feelings, and yours on AVB is of no importance here. The fact is he never got a chance at Chelksi, they fought him at every turn and booing after 3 game at spurs when Modders was always going and so was vDV, SPurs are a shop window mate dont forget that. Berba Mod vDV all came with the intent of moving on. 3 games 3 games, and I ma seeing similar sheite on here, nothing, NOTHING that happens this season for us matters, we are starting from scratch yet the moaning after the WBA game. We're either plastic, fat cnut, want it all now now now or we'll throw a fit supporters or we are Liverpool Football Club supporters. I have to point out, winning all of the time absolutely ruins a supporter group, look at the mancs and look at what a little success has done to the spuds and chavs. We're all right so
Ah c'mon, he got a massive chance at Chelsea. He made the same mistake at Chelsea which Souness did at Liverpool. First he alienated the senior characters who ruled the dressing room, and then he squabbled with the younger players when things didn't go right. The other thing he did and this was a Roy Hodgson type clanger, he had the chelsea players defending in such a way they were unfamiliar with. Only Barcelona can implement the defensive high-line, due to the brilliance of their forward players. Barcelona's forwards are so good, they can play the pretty average Gerard Pique at centre-back and play a midfielder namely Javier Mascherano there too. They beat all around them. Roberto Di Matteo a failed West Brom manager seized control and did what AVB should have, he got the older players on-side, batted down the hatches, and he succeeded. He also outfoxed Barcelona, no it wasn't pretty, yes they parked the bus, but its a results business. If the so called greatest manager in the universe had thought of that, then he wouldn't be a failure in Europe.
