    You won't ever see Barry Dennis watching the track. As for "fearless" Freddie Williams, he'd lay a monstrous bet because that was the nature of his business, but he knew the odds were in his favour as it was him who set the prices.

    The only way to guarantee a profit on a regular basis is by applying mathematically based software to enable a profit to be made regardless of the outcome. This has nothing to do with horses and their probability of winning; it requires dedicated time and effort and the required software to facilitate timely backing/laying.

    This is why prudent bookmakers are rich.
