Well now the Transfer window is closed we can now look forward more realistically to the Loan Window.

We already have Amos and Elmo, so looking for 3 players.

Mine would be Meyler (Sunderland) and Powell and King (Man United).

Any other names being brandished about?

We could do with a striker who is definitely going to score goals, if it was me I'd go for Meyler, Powell and Macheda

Unfortunately it's not going to happen. He's playing abroad and we can only make loan signings from other clubs in England (or the Welsh clubs in our league set up). I heard his agent said he's gutted about it though.

If only we still had Duffen.
He would have spent a week in Monaco, on high expenses, trying to make it happen.

Not Sure Bruce is overly keen on MCkenna after the Donny game, a loan for Tunnicliffe would add a bit more bite.

Powell as backup/competition for Evans/Koren would be good too.

Seems we've missed out on a few strikers, Maynard, Sharp, Bothroyd, Dobbie, Goodwillie who could all have added firepower, some in that list may have been too expensive havnt had time to look at the deals theyve joined clubs on know a few are loan deals though.

Trying to think of Strikers we could get on loan now , Could the Campbell deal happen? Earnshaw at Cardiff must be well down the pecking order, could he do a job? Did DJ Campbell go back to Brum?? Anichebe from Everton? Mcmanaman from Wigan??

Definatly wouldnt take Macheda he's awful, i think Josh King given proper game time up top could do a job instead of being used out wide.

How longs the loan window open?

Agree with Hutch, I think Matty's out for a while and a few teams around us have brought in big-name proven strikers, perhaps we have to. Also, Macheda has just been living off that one goal against Villa when he was 17 for 4 years now. I'd be delighted with Tunnicliffe, Powell and Campbell. Although, more realistically, one of them is likely to be Meyler.

Yeah your probably right about meyler i think we'l only get tunnicliffe if the meyler deal doesnt happen. Wouldnt mind both to be fair haha!

Powell Koren Meyler in the central 3 positions would be very strong.

I think I read a quote by King saying he wants a chance at Utd and he doesnt want to play in the CCC. He will then decide on his future in Jan or something.

If we got a central midfielder from Utd it could be Powell or Tunnicliffe but no way both. Utd fans are already bemoaning their lack of depth in that position.

Powell would be amazing as he can play up front or CM and he would benefit from CCC football before getting into Utd's team..

Not sure why we would be interested in a striker.

Proschwitz, Simpson, Fryatt and Mclean - when we are seemingly going to be playing 1 up top. I can't see why we would want anybody else.

I'd say that we would get a striker from West Ham, QPR or Southampton as they've all just got loads of new ones in. There was a fourth team that I was thinking of but it went out of my head when something popped up on my screen!

We're technically playing 2 up top, but when Aluko plays he plays a bit of a free role and plays rather deep quite often to link up play. Evans came on for him yesterday because Bruce wanted to be a bit more defensive.

Powell on the bench for Man U, I'd say that makes that one unlikely.

Fletcher is about fit, Anderson isn't in that squad, Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Cleverley all ahead of him. I'd say we have a chance still.

I think it's a sorry sign of the times that we can't afford our own windows.

We should brick up the holes until we can buy some outright.

He's played for their reserve side midweek along with Fletcher so I'd say that he's definitely available

We should get ourselves down to Safestyle UK. You buy one, you get one free. I say you buy one, you get one free.
