    Aston Villa Transfers

1st August 2012 – Ron Vlaar – Feyenoord to Aston Villa – Undisclosed

29th August 2012 – Joe Bennett - Middlesbrough to Aston Villa – Undisclosed

    31st August 2012 – Jordan Bowery – Chesterfield to Aston Villa – £500,000

2nd July 2012 – Karim El Ahmadi – Feyenoord to Aston Villa – Undisclosed

6th July 2012 – Matthew Lowton – Sheffield United to Aston Villa - Undisclosed

12th March 2012 – Brett Holman – AZ Alkmaar to Aston Villa - FREE (deal will be confirmed on 1st July)

Now that is who they have signed thus far in this Transfer window...and these are a bigger club than us?
am I missing something? I would honestly say they are average at best...

Anyone else reckon Bent is SERIOUSLY regretting it?

    He made his bed.

Let the bastard rot in it.

Still wish he was playing for us though.

only two I would think about liking them in our squad and even then its thinking about it, Vlaar is a good defender IMO and this Ahmadi is apparently a good player but who the others are poor for a team like Villa, don't know much about Holman but its scary how poor Villa are compared to 3-4season's ago

He is going backwards now Cest he will never be the goal scorer he once was.

Just think if he was still here and he was firing blanks , we might be talking about Bruces strange signings right now. <rofl>

Could have been a legend for us. His goals certainly kept us out of the relegation poop, but he clearly just thought of us as a stepping stone. **** happens, but it's a shame that it happens with footballers getting too big for their boots. Look at Marouane Chamakh. It would have taken an "earthquake" to get him here, so off he goes to Arsenal instead. Big impact he made there, eh? If he'd come to us he would have had regular first-team football and could have played his way into the Prem. But, no. He has to go to a "big" club and compete with RVP et al and when he gets benched he can't get the playing time he needs to improve. Now where's he off to (don't tell me, I don't give a ****)?
