Lacking pace. Can't keep the ball. *iss poor defence.

    Wake up call?

tbh I just don't think the players are too arsed, probably didn't expect Madrid to be this good and combine that with a generally **** performance and you get this scoreline.

We're bound to get the fickle twats coming on here who didn't say boo to us after 3 wins in the League saying how we'll get tougher teams than this and blah blah blah.

Nothing that we didn't know already. Lampard is well past it, Ramires is clueless on the wings, the defence lacks a leader, and Torres isn't good enough (yet).

But tbf Madrid are taking this way more seriously than we are.

Oh do **** off you boring cretin, Liverpool scrape through to the U-Ropey group stages against HEARTS and lose 3-0 to West Brom (aswell as letting a goal lead slip twice against Citeh)

Yeah, the winners, **** all wrong with getting beaten by winners. Which is exactly why we pumped you in the FA Cup, without needing to play the football you daft ****s complain constantly about. Plastic scouse mope twat

While you may not be taking it seriously I do think it shows that you are not as strong as some ( not really Chelsea fans tbh, its more fans of other clubs ). A.Madrid are a decent side and Falcao is a world class striker but you shouldnt be 3-0 down really.

Its a pointless game, keeping your players injury free is far more important

If Chelsea were not bothered then why not play youngsters?

I mean they shouldnt need to worry about fitness too much and when did you last lose a friendly game this bad?

I am in Spain on my hols so I put it on the telly expecting a match. I can't recall a Chelsea performance this inept. It looks like an FA cup 3rd round mismatch.

New team, always going to get hiccups. Frankly this game is a piss take anyway, it's just a curtain raiser like the charity shield. Nothing to be worried about. If this were happening against teams like Villa then it would be worrying but Falcao would tear any defence up on his day, and Athletico actually care about this cup.

I don't think Chelsea are too bothered about it - they let Courtois play so they clearly care more about him getting european experience than winning the thing.

Community Shield is a friendly therefore it's our first. Also we beat every team in the PL by a two goal margin, there was no holding on.

Now I ain't no Chelsea fan but are rivals seriously coming on here wumming you lot?
Wums from Liverpool? 8 points behind you already in the prem...lost the FA cup final to you...just sold Charlie adams for a £5m loss in 12 months and loaned out their £35m striker to west ham after 18months (both bought by their God KK) ... and they are laughing at you lot?

Well **** me...the scousers are really unable to get irony!

They looked like a team of individuals tonight, they played poorly too. Its not a proper trophy anyway its just some UEFA bullshit.

It was hard work watching that tonight, but I had to console myself by thinking that it wasn't something vital! I couldn't believe what happened in the first half, but we looked far better in the second! This was the prime example of what everyone was saying before the season kicked off --that is-- we were the side every team was going to die on te hill to beat! Atletico had, by all accounts, been one that this game was a crusade! Lets hope lessons have been learned!
