Martin is nowhere near as bad as some people are making out. He's nowhere near PL standard but he is a solid Championship defender.
Also considering the fact he's moved away for the first time and settling in issues is bound to be worse in a ****e side Give him time to settle and prove himself at Palace!
Thought he was okay. The fact that we sent him on a season long loan suggests we don't want to lose him completely. Adkins must see something, but suspect the PL is a step too far for him. Sorry it's not working out for him...hope it gets better as season progresses. My experience is that fans get on the back of loanees much quicker than their own players.
His loan spell at a championship side should prove what level he is at. Hope he doesn't have to drop another league to league 1. Its always hard when you are not high up in the pecking order to improve without games. this is his chance we were all saying he needed from his performances last season.
Ahh, an Aaron Martin thread that wasn't started by me. Pretty much confirmed what i have always said, the lad is not good enough for the championship let alone the Premiership and i'd be proud of him and think he would've done well for himself to forge a career in League one or Two. By the way where have the Martin for England band wagon gone? He can't even get in the Palace team at 22 ffs.
For some reason i thought everyone was talking about the Itchen Stand at SMS, so I went along with it just for the irony...for the record I didn't go to Itchen College (Thank God )
Itchen College is 5mins from where I was born, went there as well bit **** ain't it. Back to Martin, I think he is a ok player.
I went to Barton Peveril Neither Aaron Martin, nor his apparently standard girlfriend went there...just wanted to join in
