Post signing Suarez (he was already lined up to join us anyway), has there ever been a set of signings that flopped so dramatically? Carroll £35m Downing £20m Henderson £16m Adam £10m Total: £81m The only player acquisition that BR rates from the prior regime is Coates. Would of liked to see what BR could of done with £81m!! Ah well, onwards and upwards.....
Newcastle fan in peace - I think we could put up some stiff competition, just pick any year from about 2004-2008... (personal favourites being Owen (£17m) and Luque (£15) in a week - combined wages will have been huge). I think Carroll was misused/mishandled and that Henderson will have a good role to play in the next few years at your club. The other two are dross though.
I like you mate, i'd give you some rep were i not permanently trapped on the mobile browser version of this site.
Yeah Haslam, I saw a quote recently that said Fee & wages combined Owen came to about the same price as Carroll! Probably not true so I didn't post it here as a wind up lol.
Zingy, whilst I was still in posession of the ability to rep, I preformed the rep equivilant of a rep Bukkake on your sweet ass. If i still had the ability, you would not be able to walk!
Coates was £4.9 million or £17.6 million less than the useless Phil Jones and Adam was £6.75 million, 11 million less than the just as slow Michael Carrick.
What's the deal with the reps? I mostly post from phone now... but I've seen the rep thing listed when I connect from PC at night. Don't think the rep thing existed when I used to post here frequently before.
