Definitely someone in unless BR was lying when he said we couldn't get rid of Carroll because we needed 3. Unless Morgan has looked Awesome in training lol. But makes an unknown or Demosey more realistic. Money for Adam, plus what's ever left in the kitty for fee; money we would have spent on his & Carrolls wages are the new guys wages.
Its annoying with 50 different threads about the same thing. Just like to refer back to the actual transfer thread.
I'm guessing that BR has some one lined up (guessing and hoping). Perhaps he sees Yesil as part of the first team, or maybe he's going to promote Morgan? Suarez and Borini are the only two players who are proven through the middle. Rodgers was quoted saying he would be a nutcase to let Andy Carroll go on loan and to be left with two strikers. I guess only time will tell.
Yesil said himself "The first thing is that I have to train and then in one or two years I hope, step by step, to be in the first team." So we must be bringing in someone else.
I was away in Ireland ('Down South') and missed a lot by the looks of it... Someone has bid for Adam then!
I can't really see the reason for loaning Spearing to Bolton. Surely he's not going to come back and be a 1st team regular after another season in the Championship so why not sell him? Apparently Bolton and 5 other clubs wants him and we were only 500k different in our valuation of him to Bolton. Seems an odd one that.
If some say the owners will fund a new striker and Rodgers said we are looking, who do you want??? Llorente for me, hell Cavani. Bit out of price range I'm sure though, unsure on Sturridge though.
Anyone who can stick the bell in the net Llorrente is in the last year of his contract and doesn't have CL football either but Bilbao just sold Martinez for around 40m so I doubt they'll be eager to offload. Huntelaar has CL football, and tweeted today about being excited to train with Affelay tomorrow, I'm not ruling it out I just don't see it happening. Who knows who we'll end up with, or even if we do get anyone. Should be exciting though
Ok I think I remember where this rumour may have started. A few weeks ago I remember reading something about the owners giving BR the go ahead to sign a goal scorer. So maybe that rumour will come true
Just to throw some names out - Dempsey is available, as is Sturridge. Walcott remains a possibility, although less so now than a few days ago. Some complete wild-cards may include... Llorente, Huntelaar (both unlikely) and that French bloke Aubamayeng. Some names of my own include Sulejmani (winger/forward from Ajax, cheap, young and lively), Negredo, Mertens (although more of a winger and probably expensive), Guidetti (City would probably sell) and maybe Callejon.
