Walcott is a no-go..until January, I can see us getting him too for two reasons. Apparently he's a Liverpool fan and Arsenal would never want be known as Manchester Citys feeder club. City have had, Kolo, Clichy, Greedybayor and Nasri.
If this is the case I have a suggestion for Mr Ayre. Make sure you have the other player in BEFORE agreeing to loan out Carroll not after, then if the deal for A N Other falls through we still have Carroll. Mad way w e go about our business as a club these days.
Or MAYBE we're keeping Sturridge as a rotation option for Torres without putting pressure on the pair of them? You say this as if your about to sign him, with an 'I told you so' attitude I'm not upset at all kid.
My prediction..we don't get anyone! Because we move so sloooooooowly in the transfer market a month wouldn't be enough let alone one day. Hope I am wrong but if Dempsey was coming it would have happened by now and can't believe Chelsea would sell Sturridge to us even if we were interested. Also can't see the owners splashing out now. Not, if you sign him I would be a little disappointed because he's a great player but it would mean we obviously have a replacement lined up. If we don't have a replacement for him lined up at this moment then I'd bet a lot of money you won't be signing him.
I can't see the chavs selling him to us (they don't fear us as their rivals), but simply put, they don't have much backup and we all know Torres of late is good for missing at least 10 games a season through injury. SSN are putting 1+1 together and getting 43, I think the target maybe someone that we've not been linked with in public + Dempsey.
