Pretty good move for him, his progression has stalled a bit over the past couple of seasons, needs to get out and get some game time. Hopefully he will play regularly otherwise he may as well just stay and play in the reserves for us.
Good move for Danny East. City should offer Conor Townsend to Scunny as they need a good defender at the moment and Conor needs a better level of first team football. Win Win for both imo.
I heard that Liam Cooper had rejected a loan deal to Portsmouth - wonder if it is that he doesn't want to go that far or that he still hopes to get in the first team here.
Never quite understood the point in one-month loan moves. One month is usually the settling-in period, but by the time you're through that you're already back at your parent club.
I always assumed it was either when there was a really bad short term need for a player or it is kind of a trial period as you often see them extended if all goes well.
For those interested, east straight into the Northampton for tonight's game against wolves - and it's on tv.
Agree the lad looks to have a bit about him - these league cup games really are ****e though - the competition is well past its sell by date..
What position did he play? I know he's a right back but over pre season he must have played every position for us.
I thought on the whole he did OK, but I felt he was at fault for Wolves 2nd goal, and could have tried to close down Bakary Sako for the 3rd.
It was odd watching that keeper, he looked about ten. East played right back(and got caught out of position a few times). Despite the score, Wolves didn't look like a team who were in the Premier League last season.
That's always the thing with East. He seems to have had a decent game, but a badly defended goal always happens on his side.
