So, we play Atletico Madrid on Friday in the Super Cup! Just thought I'd say that this isn't a match for experimenting and trying out different systems or players for the line up. I personally and I very much think Di Matteo will want to put his best team out and get the trophy in the bag. We should treat it just as much as the Fa Cup or Champions League Final! Terry is suspended and Marin will most likely still be injured. Defence - Speaks for itslef. Azpilicueta shouldn't be thrown straight into the starting line up. Defensive Midfield 2 - I know Meireles had a good game against Newcastle but he always has a good game or 2 followed by a bunch of average performances, I do think he is a decent player but Lampard only had 5 mins against Newcastle so he is pretty fresh and it's a big match where will need experience without J.T on the pitch. Lamps will step it up Well I hope he will any way. I'm sure you all see where I come from here. Attacking Midfield 3 - Mata & Hazard are pretty obvious, but I really like Bertrand and think he is a quality player in these big games! For these sort of matches you need one defensive winger, we only have Ramires & Bertrand who play these roles, they make sure that one of the wings is always covered and has that defensive element that Hazard or Mata sometimes lose when they play there. So, same 3 that played against Newcastle! Striker - Torres of course. Doesn't need to rest or any thing and hope he relishes the chance of playing his former team and continue scoring! Subs Bench - See no reason why Azpilicueta & V.Moses can't be on the bench, why not! The rest speaks for itself I guess. I'm not sure what the score will be to be honest, I don't think I'd be that surprised if we did lose or win. I'd like to think that after we lost the community shield, we would step up and win this. But we are probably due a loss after 3 good wins and I swear we always lose before the international break Atletico are a good team without being great and could easily beat us to be fair. Any way, really hope we win! What would be your line up?
Can't fault that line up, except I would keep Lamps on the bench until half time. Who to play instead ?? Ramires or Romeu probably.
We will be given a very tough time. Athletico look very very good, especially down the left. They were playing last night and Falcao got a hat trick.

There is absolutely no way at all you can leave Lampard out of the starting line up...if you look at the way he played in the Semi and the Final and the role he's adapted too, he warrants it purely on merit, and ability. Already, and forever will be, a club legend with the likes of Osgood and Zola
