Are we a couple of signings away from greatness?

Dont get me wrong - not delusional. Greatness would be cup final (league or fa). Dare I say cup winners?

Top 6?

I played a little game with myself today (calm down); looking at our subs bench. Do it yourself. The second 11 is a team that could hold it's own against, say 60% of the prem.

I hope we strengthen the defence tomorrow. Even if we don't, we look good.

I had no worries about relegation before the transfers and believe we would have held our own.
As you say with the incomings and possibly more to come the futures bright the futures red and white.

With the signings we have made, especially if we can pull off the Dempsey and Strinic deals in time, we will be comfortable top 10. Maybe with some good luck on the injury front up to 7th.

Every club in the EPL realistically has a chance at a cup so why not and if we can get to the last 8 again or last 4 in one of the competitions I'll be happy enough.

This is a work in progress still, even if that progress has been excellent but top 6 I dont know if our squad is deep enough yet.


Going to be good watching it though.

As a follower of a serial denationalised club, I'd shut the **** up if I were you (thank **** I'm not btw)

 

We had 2 great strikers and a quality midfield, plus the best keeper and second best centre back, IMO.

We would have to do it the hard way with skill and graft.
They did it by being the luckiest ****ers to ever be in the Prem.

 

What part isn't true?

Coloccini got in the team of the year, a lot of people had Tiote and Cabaye as the, or one of the best centre midfield partnerships, Cisse and Ba speak for themselves and how Krul didn't get keeper of the year I'll never know. Single handedly won us several points.

 

You have one half decent striker, one middle aged perma-crock and a couple nobodies up front.

 

A one season wonder in Cisse.
Your dirty scummy midfield, that for some unknown reason the refs let get away with nigh on murder, without being punished for it.
Ba is the only one I would have out of your **** lucky team.
