Didn't get on the plane last night and has gathered some criticism from Italy over it?

Fulham apparently hot favourites to sign him, or was that the reason MoN was on manoeuvres last night?

Pure speculation on my part I admit but I think Berbatov is pure class and would give us a huge amount of glamour, swagger and panache up front, as well as Fletcher's target-man. Has a fantastic record of goals scoring in the EPL and at 31 is at his peak. A player like Berbatov is a next level signing alongside AJ and it would increase the profile and standing of the club as we look to develop. Players like these tip the balance in winning things when in tight games. Fletcher, Berbatov, Saha, Wickham, Ji, Noble & Campbell. Plenty of striking options there for the long season ahead.

A left back and Berbatov and this would be an amazing transfer window.

I'd imagine that he still has a place in that London, and that's why he fancies Fulham.

Knocked back Juve as well, which does make you wonder if he still has the hunger.

Lovely a part of London that Fulham is, especially for a wealthy man such as Berba, it's not Tuscany!

Turning down Juve was probably saying goodbye to his hopes of playing CL football again, and considering his international retirement, looks like he's got his slippers chosen and is winding down his career.

I'd still take him mind, but I'd have a nagging feeling that he was just going through the motions after a wonderful career, and that we'd never see his best.

Wont be long until Juve are back in the Serie B for cheating. Seems it runs rampant through their structure. I know their coach got done for cheating at Siena, but makes you wonder...

Juve have no soul anymore, people are just waiting for news of more corruption coming out of that club.

Berbatov - best first touch I think I've seen since Bergkamp, great striker when he's the focal point of the team but not a fantastic back-up, well not to Rooney anyhow. We love him at United because he's magic, but we understand that he's not part of our future. I doubt he'll end up in Sunderland if I'm brutally honest, because he's probably got better options - In truth something is telling me he's going to end up at Arsenal, but I've been wrong before and I guess your manager could probably sell him his vision so I'll stop short of flat out rejecting this story. Fulham - this is only an option if Jol signed him for Spurs and they have previous man crush going on, but I can't be bothered to find out who signed him for Spurs since they've had about 30 managers lately.

Terry. Agree its fantasy stuff but imo, if our club are serious about breaking a 40 year exile from being a serious proposition, Berbatov is exactly the kind of player to do that for us.

Top quality and oozes class. He could do for us what cantona did for Utd and put us on the map.

Probably not even on the radar but he would be my kind of special signing.

There's a lot of frustration that comes with watching Berba, so whilst he has every requirement necessary to succeed, sometimes he just does things that make you wonder what goes on in his head. If he did choose you guys, then I have no doubt about it, he'll score 15-20 goals. He was however, as I'm lead to believe, a big fan of Alan Shearer, which may not go down too well in your books personally mate!

He supported NUFC as a kid haha, and at one point said he'd like to finish his career with us. If only :( quality player.

Great player but too moody for my liking. MON wants players with character who will knuckle down and work for the team ethic. This he learnt from the late great Brian Clough. This is why IMO Dempsey is a non starter. MON doesn't want players who chuck their toys out of the cot to get their own way. I await tomorrow with baited breath. Keep the faith
