What is he thinking? Some days ago he said he'd be a nutcase to sell Mandy and now he says he wants to offload him? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football...-nuts-to-sell-Liverpool-striker-Andy-Carroll/ http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...west-ham-and-newcastle-united-72703-31725673/ and now this??? Funny sort of chap, that guy.
Stop tapping up our players and get yourself's a bit of history. We have 5 European cups, how many do you have?
Alright...so we're sorry for "tapping up" your players... Nothing to do with the manager declaring all that then eh? Since you asked, I have about 10 cups of the plastic variety, but I only usually use a handful, unless there are guests at my place then I would take out some more..
this is not the same team that have been officially reported for tapping up a Fulham player by any chance
Trolling idiots aside ( I have decided he can't actually be serious) I love the fact Rodgers has come out and said this not long after Pards has 'admitted defeat' in his bid to sign AC.
We have as much chance of gaining a better history than Liverpool have of gaining some sort of future.
Seem to remember back in the 50's we were everybody's second team. FA Cup Final May 22nd 1955: Simpson, Cowell, Batty, Scoular, Stokoe, Casey, White, Milburn, Keeble, Hannah, Mitchell. (won 3-1) FA Cup Final 3rd April 1952: Simpson, Cowell, McMichael, Harvey, Brennan, Robledo E, Walker, Foulkes, Milburn, Robledo G, Mitchell. (won 1-0) FA Cup Final 28th April 1951: Fairbrother, Cowell, Corbett, Harvey, Brennan, Crowe, Walker, Taylor, Milburn, Robledo G, Mitchell (won 2-0) Never get tired of seeing vids of these games on the coach to the away games.
Tapping up their players? I thought it was a season long loan. Time to return our player now. We give them some of the money we have been keeping safe for them, so it dosent get stolen, and we get AC back. Also you have to laugh because when we didnt want to sell AC didnt Liverpool contact him and tell him how much he would be earning if he moved before a fee was agreed? As well as HGQ points out Fulham have complained and didnt Blackpool also complain last year about there transfer treatment of Adams?
I shouldn't really bother responding, but tapping up ? The Liverpool manager publicly states that he needs to sell his fringe players, identifies Carroll as a fringe player, Pardew says there's no possiblity of our signing Carroll and we're tapping him up ? How does that work ?
Liverpool talking about there history again...yawn! Didn't yous 'tap' up Enrique when we had him? now go away
I think they should just accept a bid from us and let him go already lol. The manager has totally alienated Carroll for the club.
This just in. From espn soccernet.com, apparently: However, a source has told ESPN there is "not a chance" Carroll will seal an Anfield exit, before adding: "He's staying at Liverpool." Now, my thoughts on this are as follows: Your manager Brendan Rodgers has already said he's a fringe player and wants him offloaded. What kind of "source" could tell ESPN reporters information that is reliable? I don't think anyone higher up of Brendan Rodgers would give this kind of information to reporters(however would the reporters have accessed to them is beyond me). IF that is true, there is apparently some conflict of interests here. On the other hand, if its not true, just goes to show how rumours really fly around... I guess most of us here are like me, we're really indifferent whether we get him back or not... We don't need him badly, but we'll be happy to take him back. The same can't be said for Liverpool who would need the funds from his sale. Now as I typed this I just had an idea, maybe Rodgers realised that by admitting they want to offload him, it would mean that the Newcastle board won't increase their offer for him. Then now they're trying to release information that he's not for sale in an attempt to increase his price again. What?!
âI would need to be a nut case to even consider at this moment letting Andy Carroll go out, unless there are other solutions for that. At the moment there isnât. Andy has been working well. He knows the situation, like the rest of the group do, and we will take it from there.â When asked about a possible loan deal, Rodgers said: âAbsolutely no chance â and certainly not to Newcastle. âThey got £35m for this player last year. To even consider wanting to take him on loan is a liberty really." So can we conclude that he did say he'd be a nutcase to sell him , to anyone?
Why can't they just accept their losses and just take our 15m? We'd probably agree to wave away the sell on clause, and just give them 15m. He quite clearly would prefer to come here or stay at Liverpool with his new mates. He doesn't want to go to West Ham. It just shows how ****ing stupid West Ham are. They were willing to pay a wage and fee they couldn't afford before, now they're willing to make an even bigger bid? This for a player that said that he clearly doesn't wish to go to West Ham. I would love it if we got Andy back. He'd be a bright spark back in the dressing room. The manager really wants him back, he could feel at home again. Some of the fans still like him, and the ones that don't might be persuaded. He'd give us a plan B. He's the best player in the premier league for winning things against the opposition. When he came on against Liverpool he almost created a goal straight after coming on, with a header from a cross in!. Imagine late on in games, bringing on Raylor and Carroll on the end of those deliveries! Plus it would give us an option to play when Ba and Cisse are out or injured, and ability to rotate.
Yes, and also an option for ACoNs. And let's face it...he was a different player when he played for us.. But I do think it'll be really humbling and humiliating to accept our offer..
Waive £5m? Haven't you noticed Fat Freddie has left the building? Fat Mike wouldn't waive £0.50p - and rightly so!!
