Some excellent performances tonight but I was glad to see Neil Lennon make special mention of Kelvin Wilson. He was very sound, and did the simple things well which for me is the essence of good defending and I presume may be down to Johan Mjallby's influence. He looks, to me, like a player who meeds his confidence boosted and I hope his excellent performance tonight gives him that boost and puts him on track for being consistently dependable.

Jordan Rhodes is going to Blackburn for 8m.... EIGHT.

That is a championship club.

On the balance of my own opinions - I'd be quite a bit less aggrieved if Celtic paid £8m for Rhodes, than I would be if they spent £13m for Steven Fletcher.

I note the general consensus amongst commentators in the media is that Gary Hooper was "miles offside' for his goal tonight, but was he? On seeing it again, I'm not so sure as, it seems to me, he was exactly in line with Georgios Samaras who wasn't offside when the ball was struck to him ...

I'd have to see it again because you've thrown doubts in my head about Samaras also possibly being offside and therefore it being a legit pass - but on the balance of memory, he was offside.

Sammy was on, hooper was in front of the ball but not in front of Sammy. It was iff. It should have been given off but it wasn't a mile off like Hartson was in the Nou Camp.

Not seen the highlights yet, was at the game last night and I'm still recovering ... that was down the far side from me :(.

Why didn't Forrest get a penalty?

he looked for it and was half way over before the tackle came. It was a good decision.

He was looking for it, but from where I was he was taken down ... but doesn't matter, we will be playing Europe's elite in the next few months :)

It looked like it from one camera angle as well. When they reversed the shot he was going over before the contact.

It was an..."ave sin um given" type of thing but you'd be sick the other way around.

Where were you sitting Bib?

Section 101 NSL

Pre-Strachan, I was in line with the goal line at the now Jock Stein end.

I'm now about 2 yards behind the goal line (Strachan shortened the pitch).

It was up the other end from me but the way he fell, I thought he'd been checked at the hips cos he seemed to change direction as he went down.

As I say, if it was a dive, it was a good one and it fooled me.

BTW

Was that the best atmosphere in years or what last night?

I'm proper buzzin' still.
