Without doubt, however, he scores goals anyway without mgp, if this is the best he can get then premiership gaffers must see a flaw, £8m is alot and far too much for whickham it would seem
The owners of this club won't be shelling out this much unless they're selling some ****er, probably Olssen, Dann and Nzonzi will be off imo
Money well spent in my eyes, he is a natural goalscorer and will probably go on to win the golden boot this season. A bit gutted we haven't went in for him to be honest, massive difference between Rhodes and Wickham, we bought Wickham on potential. Rhodes is a proven goalscorer and a proven goalscorer will always score goals. Still think he's more than good enough for the premier league
Doesn't always work for the step up unfortunately - you get a few kicks off John Terry and your head drops cos you don't score in 3 or 4 games - doesn't matter how natural a goalscorer you are, the defence in the PL is streets ahead of the defence in League 1
That 8m is a lot but i reckon he'll score 20+ in the championship and if that gets them promoted then he's paid for himself really. Id straight swap Rhodes for Wickham any day
