Adam is a daily decent prem player. He is a player that does well when someone is there to do his leg work therefore allowing him to be free and more importantly relaxed to play his balls around. He will do very well at Stoke if he goes. He will be protected a in the midfield and work well spraying balls around for them. With the lesser pressure his set pieces will return and will more than likely be a assist king again, let's ni forget he still had the highest amount of assists in the LFC squad last year. It's a good move, he doesn't fit, even less than Carroll. Rodgers is taking no crap from Liverpool is great, he has come in and stamped his vision and authority. Even if he is wrong at least he has balls. It's a shame that kenny left the situation he did. Discorave
Probably a case of killing two birds with one stone. We most likely have the funds to buy Dempsey anyway (if that's who we want), but may as well get a couple of players off the books while we can. Otherwise knowing our luck we'd buy Dempsey and the Adam sale would fall through.
Opinions of Adam last season; Games 1-12 Not bad, promising start Games 13-24 Pretty good, could improve his positional sense and his tackling Games 25-38 Absolute ****e! Bizzarely not even playing much, became the scapegoat and somehow that has escalated despite him hardly playing at all. Whats interesting is that you could do a similar thing for Carrol and Downing and what you will probably find is that when one rose in estimation another went down and vice-versa. Scapegoat he sure was, what is interesting is before Lucas injury and before Gerrard came back he was regarded as a decent if not outstanding signing! Not a bad player at all, certainly NOWHERE near as bad as some claim and did not deserve the criticism that he got. With that said I agree with our new system he probably would struggle to adapt, doesn't make him ****e though!
Well said probably the biggest casualty of Lucas's injury last season. If he goes then there are plenty of Prem teams he could improve so either way good luck to him.
Very well said and I agree. Rodgers has been pretty diplomatic, trying not to rub anyone in the wrong way. But in his interviews but yesterday, he was very ruthless, clearly indicating that certain will players need to leave.
2 problems with Adam for me. 1. His set piece delivery evaporated once Fergus the drunken Scottish gypsy put his curse on him. 2. Charlie is a average prem player. Unfortunately HE thinks he's Charlie Zidan. Until now no one has put him straight.
On a serious note: he tried his best on the field for us so I hope he does well wherever he ends up. So Like any other player apart from the ladyboy, thanks for the effort. But if your evil set pieces come back magically in the game against us I'll have to stab you in the foot with a rusty pitch fork.
Absolutely. He does not deserve criticism for not being good enough Ps - just getting my push bike out the cellar, I'll give him a 'backie' to Fulham!!!!!
He will be in my fantasy team if he moves to stoke. He will get a lot of assists in that team, plus if he gets penalties bonus.
Etherington is Stoke's penalty taker and he has a very good record, Walters takes a few too so he will have to work his way up the ladder first. Of course, he also has to hit to target to score them though <whistlle>
I really think he is a player who cannot handle the expectation of a big club. Stoke will suit him, he isn't. Bad player, just not a big player.
Haha Kenny... What a way to bow at Liverpool. In reality his only successful buys have been Suarez and Coates.
