Must be the Scottish connection with Kean? Would have been nice if we could have snapped up a young, prolific goal scorer like this.

Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes will have a medical at Blackburn Rovers on Thursday after the clubs agreed a deal worth up to £8m.
He has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal, with a £4.5m initial fee which will rise depending on factors such as Premier League promotion.

Maybe under personal terms, Venky's threw in a lifetime supply of chicken to sweeten the deal?

Only hope that Steve Kean has the opportunity to witness the fruits of his labour. Rhodes could easily have another high scoring season at this level, and be the difference in securing a quick promotion back to the Premier League - so all in all, quite an astute signing, since they likely only have to splash up the extra cash if they do indeed secure promotion.

sorry, i meant wouldnt be a good signing for 8million for us. Totally unproven at NPC level let alone Prem. But nevertheless a good player.

This might be a good move for us, Huddersfield will have money to spend and are looking at taking DJ off our hands... Happy Days...

As one of the add ons is for if Blackburn get promoted you're unlikely to have got him for that initial fee.

He scored for Scotland and missed the opening game as it was played 48 hours later. He didn't score against us, not sure about on Saturday though.
