As long as he picks a team he knows will get us through then I have nothing against playing youngsters. That doesn't mean putting out a full team to play at home to Morecambe.
Away in Wales this week working otherwise I'd definitely have gone. I can't remember the last time I stewarded at SJP, they'll not recognise me when I do manage to get back into the fold! I hope the pricing will see the ground bouncing and I'll be following the expert commentary from you guys in the official match thread.
I see MA isn't missing a trick, or a chance to do a bit of advertising. United will debut their new third kit in this match, on the day that it goes on sale.
Hard to tell because you can pay at the gate and the turnstiles will be open till KO, so there could be a last minute rush of people at the death.
Of course with being live on TV that'll knock a few off the number of people that might have been there. NUFC Live on ITV4: Thu 30.08.2012 Atromitos (h) 8pm
I hope Pardew plays a squad similar to the Greek away game we had. I hope to see Adam Campbell get more time though. I don't want to see too many starters playing as Pardew said, Villa is his focus, and I hope this time its true, not another one of his smokescreens
I'd like to see a stronger team than in Greece, given that we don't have to travel and have an extra day before our next match. I'd hate for the European campaign to end in August I'd go: Krul Raylor Colo Willo Perch Amylnitrate Anitas Cabaye Bigi Ferguson Cisse If we are 2 goals up at half time, put Campbell on for Cisse. If we are even or 1 goal up, put Ba on for Cisse, so that they're both fresh for Sunday. if we are chasing the game, put Ba on for Bigi.
Is it raining "up north" is p**sing down here and has been or hours. I predict very heavy play if it is.
I'd put a fairly strong side out tonight. We want no hiccups. I'd be playing Cabaye and Cisse regardless as they look short of fitness. Cabaye is woefully off the pace, but lets be fair, he only had 20mins of game time in pre season. Cisse is also way off his level but a week on from starving, a goal and he'll be all the better. In terms of the rest I wouldn't be looking to rest too many. Its early doors and the lads should have sufficient energy reserves to play the two games. Over the longer term we may have to asess it differently when players are not so fresh. We can't afford to be heading out tonight through looking too far forward.
Its stopped here now. However had some very good news so the sun is shining on my bit of 'ULL anyway. Come on the TOON!
I'm with WP -- he needs game time, not resting. Pull him at the hour and put on Abeid or Vukicif things are going our way
