I was one of the ones who thought AVB could very well suit our club but seeing how many changes he wants to make at Tottenham so quickly into his job is quite worrying for Spurs fans. Let's not forget they finished fourth in the table last season and yet he's trying to force out a whole heap of players who are essentially first team players.

This would have been a disaster at Liverpool and im glad Brendan is taking his time assessing the squad giving the players with quality the chance to prove themselves and identifying which players just aren't up to the job and quality this football club expects. Also Brendan has been clever with his transfer targets and hasn't paid over the odds for the players he's brought in.

    What are your thoughts?

Been really impressed with BR so far, good vibe at Liverpool at the moment (except MFG's house). Spurs are a bit skeptical about their manager it seems, they've made a couple of good signings... but haven't really looked that great.

He moved too early from Porto he felt as though he could be the next Mouriniho but he seems to annoy the senior players e.g Lampard when AVB was at Chelsea by wanting to drive them out and get young unproven players into the squad

To be honest, i was firmly in the AVB camp. I think its far too early to judge either of them, I think the players AVB is shipping out are either getting on a bit or not suited to his plans, and our team is no different at the moment, going through a period of transition ourselves.

I'm happy with BR so far and will keep behind the team, and would be saying the same if we had got AVB.

I still think he'll be more of a pull for players on the continent than BR is, and I think he would have done well at Chelsea if they'd kept him.

In summary, too soon to tell, just happy neither of them are Hodgson.

I think AVB could be one of those managers who insists he needs his own players for his methods to work.

That was his excuse at Chelsea. At Spurs he is looking trigger happy in the transfer market.

I personally wouldnt complain about having this to work with:

    --------------------Friedel--------------------------
    Walker-Verthongen-Dawnson-Assou Ekotto
    -------------Parker-------Sandro-----------------
    -Lennon-----Van Der Vaart---------Bale-------
    -----------------Adebayor--------------------------

So far so good - I'm happy with BR and his approach. He seems to have a genuine interest and passion for our club, as well as wanting to play a very technical style of football which I definately welcome.

He does need time to get this sorted and we are seeing progress in terms of the players adapting to the new system. We now have some more technical and intelligent players on board i.e. Allen and Sahin as well passion and hunger in Borini. We finally have some speed in our attacks with Sterling and Assaidi.

Finally, he is very good with his words and he handles the press very well IMO. We have lacked a 'media darling' so to speak. As much as I despise the media, we can't beat them so we have to learn how to play the game to ensure the spotlight is off of us.

I have faith in Rodgers and his vision.

More than happy with BR so far,his transfers in and out have been positive and forward thinking.

As for AVB,I'd be anxious if I was a Spurs supporter. It feels to me like he's out of his depth.

    Early day's for both though!

If I were a Spuds fan I'd be worried about how thin the squad has got and just how average some of the backup players are. It seems that losing out on CL has not only cost Arry his job but also Spuds alot of money.

As for AVB, too early to tell. But Spuds dont look like the team that finished 4th last year.

Gotta say Rodgers has said all the right things at the right time for me. His brave formation and team selection v city was very welcome also.

I am fully behind him and will be so for this season and another regardless of results.

What haters fail to grasp us the reason uncle Roy was ejected from the LFC drivers seat was his abysmal team selection, ethos and complete lack of passion and charisma.

Rodgers has a new exciting ethos, picks a team to implement his strategy and has passion in spades it seems and therefore gets my unconditional support for 2 seasons (btw isn't that what defines being a 'fan' - fanatical support?)

I never really warmed to avb tho sympathised with his plight at Chelsea - that was a hiding to nothing!

I'm happy with our man and hope spurs are too.

Van Der Vaart could and this is could be out of WHL within the next year, and from what I've heard is that AVB doesn't rate Aaron Lennon at all. He's also on the verge of being dumped. He's also considering dumping Dawson, he prefers Kaboul and Caulker. Nobody has offered an acceptable bid for Dawson yet.

Personally I don't rate AVB. He's tactically naive and is regarded by many as a cold fish, in other words..a twat. He'll be gone by february. Mourinho without saying it has described him as being a ''jumped up little ****''. He's done nothing but endorse Brendan Rodgers and has backed him to succeed.

I'm so far happy with Rodders... still think it is too early to tell.

I think AVB is already displaying the lack of ability he showed at Chelsea. Not sure if BR will ultimately be good for club... looks possible... but AVB is a nightmare that would have destroyed the club.

AVB is moving on players who are around the 30 mark, and the one's who don't fit the system he wants.don't believe the paper talk about transfers, the signings are good one's,the jury is still out among'st us Spurs fans, only time will tell, same as you.

Spurs were lucky with Redknapp, yes he was tactically inept, but then again so is Ferguson. Managers fall into two groups. They are either excellent man managers and motivators, Redknapp and Fergie are in this group, or they are tactically brilliant and lack in the man management side i.e. Rafa Benitez.
AVB is both a cold fish and is tactically inept. That spells disaster.

You don't need to knock other managers to feel good about your own.

Most of you are getting what you want to happen mixed up with what you really think will happen.

So far AVB has a acquired Vertognen,Sigurdsson,Ade and Dembele with King retired and Modric already looking to move before AVB got the job.

Huddelstone and DAwson...good players but too slow for the system and dynamics AVB is trying to implement. He is here to build a team, his team...This requires change....just ask 35 million man Carrol who seems surplus to BR's requirements.
