Another little snippet from NUFC.com Newcastle will discover which side provides the first obstacle to their 53rd attempt to win the League Cup when the Third Round draw is staged on Thursday (not Wednesday as was publicised by The Football League). Oh dearie me, they got someting else wrong again. Sky Sports will screen the draw following their coverage of the final Second Round tie between Northampton Town and Wolves, which is a 7.45pm start on Thursday night. The winners of the following 25 Second Round ties will be joined in the draw by ourselves and the six other Premier League sides in Europe this season: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United & Spurs. Boro away. We're their biggest rivals according to them so it'd be nice if we played them once in a while.
It feels cruel talking like this on here, at least on BBC606 we had borogully and other such fine specimen to fight their corner, was there any particular reason none of them made the jump?
Wasn't he the one who had an obsession with the pogoing that was going on at Blackburn and would post it as live celebrations for the slightest.
Would love an away tie against Crawley, 20 mins on the train for me and i was born there, would be a good excuse to go back.
This, no point playing someone big just yet. Save the unwashed for the final it will hurt them more this way
I liked gully, when he wasn't WUMming he was actually a pretty solid fella. As much as I don't think devaluing the cup, I think this is a good competition for our fringe players to prove themselves. With that in mind, lower-league competition would be preferred but NOT in a small stadium, that seems to really intimidate us. So yeah, Boro away.
Borogully, what a guy. Me and AB were discussing him not long ago I recall. I'd like the mackems at home. But I'm equally happy with the lowest rank side possible. More opportunities for the youngsters afterall.
Talking about Carlisle away, I've just put my hand on the The Blues v The Magpies CENTENARY Souvenir Programme from when we last played them on the 17th July 2010.
