Fair comments all round OP, except for you trying to play Jordan Payne twice. He might be good, but he's not that good!!!
You don't really believe we have even a sniff of a chance of getting either of these two do you? £10k of his wages - He is on between £90k and £130k a week (depending on which report you believe)
Unlikely Ristac, but you never know. One thing's for sure, if we got either player, our chances of auto would go through the roof.
Latest Twitter rumour - is he any good, anyone? Agent King ‏@FootyAgentKing Swindons Matt Richie is to sign for Leeds United by the end of the week after Swindon finally agreed to sell the player
right winger spent most of the time at Portsmouth. Nothing to get excited about IMO. In fact I wouldnt put him above anyone else we could put out there. ** Edit won League twos player of the year last year. Clearly too good for that level but that doesnt mean hes the answer for us!
From what I've read, he had a decent debut. He got 7/10 in the Yorkshire Evening Post. Seems to be the best option at left back for Leeds and the only reason he didn't start the season as first choice was due to fitness.
See Snoddy had a couple of chances for you boys. Still not quite over seeing him in a Norwich strip. But hopefully a good season will help me look forward and not backward Hopefully being the approprate word there! I have Howson in my dream team as well, do you think he will hold down a starting spot for the season or should I look at shipping him out? Brought him as as he was a bargain
Bucks, I think Snoddy will be seriously hacked off if he moved to Norwich & didn't then hold down a regular starting spot assuming performances continue in the same vein as they did when he played for Leeds.
Carra drury was decent and better that any left back we have at the club, doesn't have a good throw in and is slow but positionally he was spot on
Hello mate I think because of Snods pace he maybe dropped more often than Howson and Howson was cheaper in the dream team league, that was my way of thinking anyway! Personally I would rather have Snod in my team at the moment but I think Howson will go from strengh to strengh if he can stay injury free Did you enjoy Posh?
Just read what a personal friend of mine has posted on another forum. He is a Liverpool fan but watches swindon a hell of a lot with his old man and knows his stuff. comment by Anfield RAP (U2114) posted 52 minutes ago Really? Swindon turned down £900k from Bournemouth in the summer for him, and have absolutely no need to raise cash - they had £4m injected over the summer and have barely touched a penny of it. If you get it, it would be fantastic business on your part - he's a class player in both League 2 and now League 1. I've probably seen him 20+ times live and never once thought he had a poor game. He scores goals from out wide and takes men on. He can change games single handedly. As I say, would be very surprised if Swindon sell, simply because they don't need to and he's always come across as settled, but he'd comfortably hold his own in the Championship. Drury was solid. Can't see Swindon selling Ritchie if they want to get promotion. I watch Swindon home and away at least ten times a season with a season ticket holding friend, and I've posted before that Ritchie is quality. He gets crosses in, and Becchio has shown he can score if the service is there. Love to sign Ritchie, but we don't have the money.
Fair enough Bucks. POSH was fine, even more so as I was able to keep telling plod to get out of my line of vision, that 3 pts made it a good day out all round. Strange journey home though. Two Leeds fans based in Norwich sitting nearby. Bit of a natter & one suddenly exploded after reading Twitter & 'Wall fans kicking off. Haven't seen anything else anywhere. Quite weird.
Drury's positional sense is top half Premier League class, its just his legs are bottom half of Championship. Howson and Snodgrass will play most weeks, and they are already starting to link up well together. There was a passing triangle with them two and Johnson that totally bamboozled QPR, so its all looking great.
Big club with a decent fanbase, good history, good new owners and a promising squad with a manager who's in it for the long haul and has an intelligent footballing philosophy. Exciting times at the City Ground.
I highly doubt we will sign Ritchie, heard many promising things on the lad prior to now Only 22, surprised a few championship clubs haven't looked at him
