The club could survive easily on the crowds we're currently getting if the club was run properly. The reason the club is at risk of going under is because bates is a terrible businessman who doesn't know how to run a football club properly. To believe anything else is just madness. Stop blaming LUST, stop blaming fans when the reason the club is in such poor shape is because of bates mismanagement of the money that is available. Nothing less, nothing more.
It is fairly possible that they are discussing taking on the other businesses, which they are probably not interested in. bates will be trying to flog them to the new owners and the new owners will see them for the waste of fans money that they are.

I am not calling in favour of LUST or against them, I am sitting on the fence waiting to see what happend. I am puzzled if I am honest.... I want to believe them but how events have unfolded in that thread... make your own mind up.
I would be shocked if any prospective new owners put money into the club to keep it going etc because that would simply give Bates the chance to keep putting money into his own pocket. The indemnities are obviously to avoid a repeat of Abramovich's takeover of Chelsea where Bates kept control of half the assets and forced RA to pay for them again to get them. The fact that the old **** won't sign right now shows he's trying to do exactly the same thing again. I always said judge Bates by his actions, not his words, and his actions have been to milk the club dry. I won't be surprised if the transfer window shuts and he calls it all off.
Yeah boozie and big back up each others statements and seem to have same access to info and are both lust bigwigs. Regarding that tread I started, there were no contradictions from my side. As for the two lust guys, my worry was there was not a peep from them for a week at that time. I did wonder where it would go from there and if extra pressure would be exerted. It seems they are trying this now with their last statement. To be honest, hard to see how they could do any more
No mate, not saying contradictions from you, from LUST - Read it all through, BIG stated that Al-Khlaifa bloke was heading the T/O then it all changed. I don't care how much anyone on here respect LUST or believe them 101% they are making too many contradictions. Like I said, I want to believe them but they are making it hard for me to do so. As far as I've seen BIG has never said it was Al-Khalifa, I think it was a case of lots of people jumping to conclusions from something innocuous BIG has said.
So BIG is not the chairman of LUST? To be honest, I don't believe the takeover will happen, not this year anyway. If it does I will be as happy as a pig in **** but I started to give up hope a while back. If I am right and it doesn't materialise and we see out the end of the season I will be able to point to more LUST links and statements where they have stated we won't have the funds to see out the end of the season. It sounds like I am having a right royal LUST battering here, sorry, like I said, I want to believe, but LUST are making it hard for me to believe anything at the moment, just saying it as I see it....
Just because the exclusivity arrangement was ended doesn't mean Bates could cancel the deal, although I do accept BiG's post saying that misled some people. Not that you can blame him for releasing the facts of the time with all the hassle he and his fellow board members get!
So can you confirm he did say that it was the Al-Khalifa guy? BTW - Not trying to have a go at you or Simon, I enjoy what you both have to say

I think to be honest, LUST are only trying to help, there is no trust in Bates and hasn't been for years, when he took over we hated him !! I am a member of lust and will continue to be so, it doesn't mean I will stop going to ER and supporting the team I love, we have had many teams over the years and lots of players as long as they wear the shirt and play there hearts out I will shout and sing until I'm hoarse, which is great for the wife as when I get back I cant argue with her !!!!
