Well yes, if we sell them... but I'd be impressed if we manage to sell four people quick enough to have time left over to deal with signing a twenty mill striker. 5 days to sell 4 to free that money up to buy.

I'd like to sell them but rumours of teams wanting those lot are sparse.

 

It's all hypothetical but we have no clue what is being done behind closed doors and for all we know it could be a slight evaluation difference that is holding it up or someone gave Fulham the number to the fax machine by accident.

 

I don't much like the idea of signing Clint Dempsey to be honest. Just because he "can" play as an out and out striker, doesn't mean he is the answer to our problems.

Dempsey would be ideal for me. He knows the league and has scored close enough to 40 goals in the last 2 seasons. All he has to do is bang them in. Suarez and the others can do the creative stuff.

leandro damiao would be my first preferance however he is likely to cost 20mill+ , Giuseppe Rossi should be considered even though he is injured but should be fit by the end of september as far as i am aware, we could put in a cheeky bid of 12-15 million for him something villareal would seriously consider due to being relegated last term, its a big risk but we could get a striker worth 25-30million for half the price if we bid now.

 

They can't play together though, I think Newcastle would have sold Ba if an offer had come in.

 

I agree! Seems to be getting better each season too, I also do not think his age should be much of a deterrent to be honest, seems to have had no serious injuries so no reason at all he could not be effective for us for at least four years!

4. cole, spearing, adam, dowing... all need to get gone... add carroll and kenny and comolli really bought badly... with hednerosn a bench warmer and bellamy gone it looks even worse.... cole and jones ar ethe last two hodgson flops.... since rafa left the only two signings made as squarez and enrique... the rest if you add it up is monumental waste.
