Right you bunch of happy clappers.

Time to get some arguing in.

A lot of people are sticking up their thoughts on teams.

I have to say some of them are mouthwatering.

    BUT!

Nearly all have Mingolet as first choice keeper.

Now I'm still not convinced by Ming and think he could be our weak link.
I'm a bundle of nerves when a cross comes in and I don't think his positional sense and decision making is much better.

If Gordon hadn't gotten crocked he would have been my first choice, as it is I think Westwood is better than Ming.

So more teams with Westwood in please. <ok>

maybe O'Neill could rotate them regularly and keep them both happy, both keepers have their merits though Mig sways it for imho

My really big worry is a big part of the Prem is that ball crossed into the box.
And he just can't handle crosses.

De Gea at ManU is the same.

Westwood won't get any better than he already is.

For me, Mig will improve massively, and he's already at least as good as Westwood.

I hope to see Mig in goal for us for 10 years plus, really rate the lad.

    Westwood for me as well.

Two good goalies and I think MON will go with Mig but I am more relaxed with Westy between the sticks.

Can't believe I am saying this but I agree with MR on this one. I think Westwood shades it.

My team would be: (if we sign the players people are saying were going to sign)

    Westwood
    Oshea Cuellar Dawson Stranic
    ......Larson.......Catts............
    Johnson....Sess........Dempsey
    ............Fletch......................

    Bench
    Migg
    McClean
    Colback
    Gardner
    Campbell
    Ji
    Killgallon

Reasoning: McClean is very effective as a sub, someone to bring on when things are not going our way, its harsh to drop him but if we sign the likes of Dempsey he might have to bide his time and fight for a start.

I have only got Oshea at RB because Bardo is injured and I think he will give good protection to let AJ go forward, when Bardo i fit he would play RB and Oshea would be back in the middle.

I love the way MON is going out and buying quality to improve the whole squad. We don't need to fit people in, its a case of picking the best 11 for the job. It also means if we get an injury to Sess or Larson were not totally screwed. I have put Larson in the middle with Catts because while Catts will break up play superbly he is not the most creative where as Larson can see a pass and with Johnson, Sess, Dempsey etc... we need to give them quality ball so they can go at defenses. MON plays on the break a lot and quality service from the middle of midfield is something we have lacked. Larson also has a great engine and likes to stick a foot in too so I think he is perfect to play that role.

If Vegas is agreeing with me I'm changing my vote to Ming. :p

BB how can you say Westwood wont get any better yet Ming will?

Ming would have to improve massively for me, just to catch up to Westwood.

That cheap booze is cabbaging ya brain marra. <rofl>

Unless Iniesta, Messi and Xavi are paraded in front of the Sunderland Echo this week before 11pm Friday, I'm chucking my season card and demanding that Short and MoN **** off and let us rebuild under a superior leadership.

This is the absolute minimum requirement.

Personally think if Mig can sort his set-piece positioning out and can work a little on his distribution, there aren't many better keepers in the league imo

Westwood is still my number one keeper the saves he pulled of at Man U were enough for me to make him number 1
I reckon he will be in against Morecombe Tuesday night

He is in the injury room ;)

Seriously I forgot about him, he would be on the bench.

Mig is better than Westwood in all areas bar command of box & distribution.

Westwood is far from perfect in either of these areas either.

Mig is 4 years younger, at 27, Westwood is likely to have learned all he can, that's what I meant by that.
