Last week I would've said we have no chance of attracting Dempsey but after AJ joining us it seems anything is possible! I think our credible draw in the opening game with Arsenal and the signings of Fletch and Johnson show we mean business, and could prove an attractive proposition to Dempsey.
agreed, got the feeling Dawson could arrive as well don't want to get my hopes up to much incase both don't come off then even though we have done some fantastic business I will be a bit gutted if we didn't manage to get Dempsey.
If our incoming transfers for the summer ended up: Cuellar, Saha, Fletcher, Johnson, Dempsey, Dawson, Strinic/Olssen it will have been a great summer for the club, I don't think anyone (including myself) saw this coming! Always rated Dawson, but the thought of him is really growing on me, fuelled byt the Surs fans great opinions of him as a defender. Yeah, pipe on the ball, but Cuellar isn't, Strinic/Olsson aren't, and any of Seb/Gardner or Bardo at right back aren't. --------Fletch - Dempsey------ -------------Sess------------- ---McLean - Catts - Johnson--- Strinic - Dawson - Cuellar - Bardo -------------Mig----------------- That looks a fabulous team, and that's without JOS, Brown, Seb, Colback, Ji, Campbell, Westwood, Noble, Whickham, Laing etc. Dawson makes sense, as a CB who reads the game beautifully, and makes good decisions, his injury record being the concern. We should have had Samba, Samba for Dawson in that first XI and it would be incredible, Samba IS great on the ball, especially considering his bulk!
We have a recent history of beating the bin dippers to players they were in for ie Connor Whickam and AJ so would be good to get Dempsey too...

doubt it, someone's getting carried away, Baines would cost over 15m Dawson, Strinic, Dempsey I'm pretty sure they are the 3 we are after and we might bring someone on loan, probably a right back as MoN has spoken about strengthening that spot. BRING ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

Speak for yourself Phil, this Cestrian had absolute confidence that MoN and Ellis would come good. Even fell out with a couple of you saying so a couple of weeks ago. Lol In truth we ALL hoped that we would attract 2 or 3 good players but in reality we could attract 5 or 6 absolutely terrific ones.
