Very interesting Ade. particularly as you can't read anything in the papers about QPR at the minute without phrases like 'expensively assembled' tagged on
what provoked me was a west ham fan on twitter who jumped in on a tweet between me and a mate.we had been talking about possible signings and our "appy ammer" jumped in and said you lot have spent £30mill on crap.whether he was refering to the last 30 years or this pre season i haven't a clue lol.
I didn't rate him either, but Saturday he ruled Zamorra, I think Zamorra won one header in the second half Not pretty to watch but effective
The figures that Hughes and the board mentioned is 1.5mil net spend I believe they are taking into account what we have or will recieved in fees for players sold tbh I don't really believe that because they are conveniently not adding the compensation fee yet to agreed for Hoilett.
Not much difference to the spending by Tango and Cash then, still not spending the premiership money by getting players mostly released by thier former club!
Don't forget the very significant wages; plus signing on fees, agents' fees and the rapidly expanding management team. I sometimes worry that we're spending too much, considering our gates are c18,000. Having said that, I could still make a case for one or two more signings (eg Centre Back)!!!
We're about to have a 50k a week international keeper on the bench, and we're not big spenders? Not on fees so far, but that will change this week.
Abdelaziz Barrada would have been a good addition for around £5m, feel we are a little unbalanced with Mackie playing as a makeshift right winger Defoe for 7m De Jong for 3m Its difficult now due to the players that have been brought in, on their reported wages they cant be moved on easily.
