Was wondering if the rain on Saturday might have added a few to tomorrow nights crowd? There was a big queue for tickets for tomorrows game. I also went into the club shop for an away shirt and kits for the kids and the people in there at half 3 was crazy!! Reckon the club has made a bit of money in other ways from the downpour!! My brother (one of the most negative SAFC fans in the country) is also getting shirts for his family. Things are looking bright and there is such a positive feel around the club at the moment
I think there will be a lot of season card holders just paying on the gate - me included so ticket sales will be difficult to gauge when it comes to final attendance. If AJ and Fletcher are both starting, I'd expect a 25,000+ crowd. If we sign another tomorrow and he may be unveiled before the game, then I'd say35,000.
I think the same cest, although this miserable ****er in the queue at the ticket office reckons we'll be lucky to get 15000!! He called me an idiot for suggesting 25-26 thousand
Picked up my tickets this morning about 10.30, the queue was out the door but I didn't have to wait too long. My season ticket seat had gone but I'm near enough. I asked the bloke behind the counter how many fans he expected and he said he doesn't think there'll be more than 20k as its only Morecombe. Personally, I think there'll be more than 20k because of the new signings and the fact our next home game isn't until 15th Sept, I can't wait that long!!
To be fair, anywhere around 20k is a good crowd for a Tuesday v Morecambe. The club would do well to announce Fletch & AJ will play, as that would definitely draw in a few 'maybe I'll go' sorts. Is it cheap too?
I would of got a ticket but its absolutely ****e that there is no late train running from sunderland to hartlepool don't know why there isn't a train at around 10 that goes from Newcastle to Boro
Only a cup game against Morecambe yes, but ES has backed MON with a few bob with the probability of more coming in. FFS if we cannot pull £10-20 out and get a good gate why the f*ck should he bother. Wont be on in the pubs so all of you "maybe's" get the f*ck over there. I'm obviously referring to locals who can get there. No dig at anyone intended. Btw is there extra time (not expecting that) replays etc or has it got to be completed on the night?

I will be very surprised if we managed more than 20,000 for a cup game against Morcombe. we only managed about 26,000 for an FA Cup game against Arsenal last season! My two boys will definitely be going, but I'm still waiting to see if one of my colleagues will swap me a shift otherwise I will be stuck at work on nightshift..
moved to automatic cup tickets as part of my season ticket renewal this season - less hassle - never miss a home game anyway so makes sense
I am a season card holder and tried to buy mine by phoning and was told to phone back later as the lines are that busy !, that's a first for me, so i will get the automatic cup ticket system next season.
I've managed to swap my shift for tomorrow so will be over the ticket office in the morning..Yipeeeee!!!
I reckn 30k or there abouts. Why do ppl think it will be under 20k? Its not cold weather, its school hols, its 1st game of the new season, and we have all our new signings on show. Also its not on tv. Any thing under 30k and i'll be disappointed...
