todays - daily mail arsenal considering £15 mill bid for cabaye, the papers must think arsene has a double headed coin worth £15mill on one side is yohans head on the other is cheick's ,if they are considering i think arsene had best look in his coin collection for a coin thats worth a bit more!i think mr cashley may be looking for a coin worth 20 to 25 mill depending on who they actually want ,if they really are looking of course

Chronicle and Guradian also report that Spurs are interested in Cabaye. Hopefully they don't go for him.

Not content with buying all the Newcastle squad Arsenal have now put in an offer for the Newcastle fans.

They might be able to buy a player but they'd never be able to meet the price of a fan.

Couldn't agree more, I've well and truly bought into this "new" Newcastle United with regards to "every-player-has-a-price" but seeing either or both of Cabaye and Tiote leave for £15m each would be heart breaking. £20m-£25m each seems about right.

Obviously I'd rather they stayed but we all know it only takes the magic "above market value" button to be pressed and Ashley is all ears!

This is all nonsense. If I were Arsene, the first priority in my mind is getting my many midfielders to learn how to play together instead of bringing in more midfielders who haven't gel-ed yet. As if having Cazorla, Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere, Diaby, Arshavin, Walcott, et al isn't enough, they want to buy more. This is utter ****e from the newspapers.

I'm not overly worried. There would have to be a chance we'd lose one, even the likes of Man City, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea have shed big players. Why anyone would think we'd be immune to the reality of football I'm not sure. Hopefully though we can retain both. Cabaye will be a big player this season once he gets up to speed and Cheik is vital in the games against the top 4 in particular.

I'd be loathe to lose either and hopefully if we have to, we get 20m plus.
