I was talking to the boy earlier and we were saying practically the same thing mate.

He is going to be picking from quality to fill the vacant spots.

Dear God how long has it been the other way around, picking the players who would be least **** in the positions.

Drink numbing the brain, I still can't work out if that last sentence makes sense. :p

I know what your saying mate, Friday seems to have changed the whole complexity of the club for the better.

    I like it.

    Proper LB definitely mate.
I still think Bardsley when fit can do a job for us.

I have it on very good authority (the consultant who conducted AJs) that SAFC have two more medicals booked in for early next week. I am led to believe these will be carried out at the Spire in Washington not Sunderland Hospital.

true or not things are going the way of Johnson, cant be true but......

MON already been quoted thatbhe is trying to bring in creative players to lighten the load on Sess so i very much doubt that he has plans to sell, why would he? he's building a team to score goals, you don't offload your creative players to do that.

    All just lazy journo speculation.

I was of the view that we were on borrowed time with Sess - but maybe he'll stay now given the improved profile of signings we have/will put together. The speculation regarding his future has also gone very quiet of late.

Not sure if Dempsey fits into the 'stellar' category that AJ has apparently talked about, but he's stellar enough for me. Add in Dawson (if the rumours are true of course) and a a left back (would rather take a punt on Strinic than Olssen), keep Sess and we'd be set. Top 10 would be the minimum expectation, with top 8 a real chance and 6th a distant possibility if we get lucky, the squad gels quickly and we pull off an upset result here and there.

Has anyone got any footage of this Strinic fella? I have no idea how good he is as I've never heard of him

Dempsey definitely looks like happening people's. A couple of itk's on Twitter I believe now saying so.

I just can't figure out our first team unless sess is leaving which hop not.

    What's his best position?

Just looked up Dempsey on Wikipedia. Best stat was he was the first American player to score a hatrick in the prem. The game was fulhams 5-2 win over the mags in 2012.
    Brilliant.

Enough reason to sign him IMO.

Anyone got a YouTube clip of it they can post?

Jesus would be wary about coming to the UK - he has been hammered with tacks before..............................

Which premier league right back would be better than Bardsley (outsidheld the big 4)

    Hutton? No way
Glenn Johnson? Don't be so ****ing silly - if he was at Wigan he wouldn't get anywhere near the England squad

I can't think of a better right back outside of Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea

If we sign from abroad then fine but currently in the PL I think he's one of the top 6. He is excellent in the tackle, good positional sense, good going forward, can cross and can score. How much would someone pay for that?
