After watching Liverpool v Man C today I have got a nasty feeling that Mr Rogers will be in for your keeper in the future. BTW great start for you lads & ladies.
Haven't ruled anything out, mate. The guy can't be trusted, end of. But I think Vorm is safe because Reina is a quality keeper. Hope I'm right. Wouldn't put it past him to come in for someone else though, despite agreeing not to do so.
Might be an idea to look at the contracts of players like Vorm. He'll be on a tidy wedge but it can't hurt to make sure he's really happy.
Brendan will keep his word and not come in for any of our players this season, he is a man of his word.....next season will be a different story though or if any other club comes in for our players this season and then its fair game and he has a duty to Liverpool to bring in players to suit his style and we would naturally be at the top of his list, so we had better hope nobody comes in for our players this season and that will be a tall order the way we are playing....its dog eat dog in this game im afraid.....
That is the most ridiculous comment I have ever seen on here, if he was man of his word, explain to me how Joe Allen is now playing for Liverpool ?
tell me what Brendan has done wrong to us..????? why has jinks not reported him if your sure he has wronged us.....Id love to know the reason because its only in some swans minds and the rest of us would like to know what he has done wrong,,, and i think you should tell our chairman and board because they cant see anything wrong...
Dai, I wan't to be your agent. If I can book you in at the Edinburgh Festival, we'll make millions! Your a comic genius!
To be fair, I haven't read a single post from this Dai fella which hasn't been total codswallop and unabated rat faeces. Brendan Rogers can **** off. Softly-spoken, chapped-lips, need-some-Vaseline bastard.
Dai has made one valid point there and that is why didn't Swansea report Liverpool for tapping up or whatever you want to call it for one of our players when it was reported he couldn't go in for a Swansea player for a year.. Because in all honesty i was expecting Swansea to report Liverpool to the PL about their conduct..
Dai are you serious? Do you need to be explained about Breach of Contract? Tapping up? Insider 'type' trading? You tell me what 'other clubs expressed an interest' from your position 'in the know' . Finally does it have to be explained to you how much HJ has acted with dignity and in the best interests of the Swans! Is it your contention still that Rogers is honourable? If so explain it on the Fulham board
Dai, are you related to Rodgers ? Because I can't believe the stuff you're coming up with. The link Valleys got up says it all.
OK: Read this slowly Dai. Then read again. 1: When Rodgers left there was an agreement not to come in for our players for 12 months unless another team expressed an interest or unless they were made available for sale. Moot point on whether that was formalised or not, but an agreement there certainly was. This was confirmed in the press: http://bit.ly/MUqI8Z and by HJ: "We have got some protection on Brendan coming back for our players in the initial period, which I think is the right thing," 2: After leaving, this was reneged upon when Liverpool initially made a £12.5M bid that didn't even trigger Allen's release clause. This itself breached the agreement. 3: Liverpool then got around the agreement on a technicality by invoking the £15M trigger which Rodgers of course knew all about. This was reported here: http://bit.ly/NfNkQy with this being the relevant part: "However, in that contract existed a release clause that would be triggered at £15m by a selection of clubs, Swansea powerless if that figure was reached. It was on this technicality that Rodgers was able to get around a 12-month "player protection" agreement made when he quit the Liberty for Anfield in May. The Northern Irishman confirmed himself at the time of his move he was unable to make moves for Swansea players unless they were made available for sale." So whatever spin you put on it, Rodgers and Liverpool initially breached the agreement by putting in a lower bid. This had the desired effect, with Allen saying he wanted to go. This is well reported too, as the headline of the above article shows. When Swansea played hardball they upped the bid to trigger the release clause. Even though that made the move perfectly legal and us powerless to stop it, that doesn't mean it was morally right and was completely contrary to the spirit of our agreement which he knew was included to protect the Swans from losing our better players. He got around that and took the player he wanted without thought for what it would do to us. So to say he's done nothing wrong is way off the mark. The fact it's worked out for us is fortunate, and I'm sure Rodgers wouldn't care if it hurt us or not. He doesn't give a flying **** about the Swans and in his position now I wouldn't expect him to. I suggest you reciprocate and stop following his career so avidly.
no breach of contract here im afraid. It was Kenny who wanted Joe before Rodgers left......Rodgers let the player decide and he paid the top wack to us for him when there was no stopping joe from leaving. the clubs stance on this speaks volumes as there was nothing they could do as it was all done above board and legal.....FACT...If it was not then rodgers would have been done for it and as he explained if joe could have been persuaded to stay then he would not take him and as joe had the ball in his court with his buy out clause then nothing untoward's was done.....
