Presuming Man City win at Anfield later today, the table looks not too bad following yesterdays results Is it just pure coincidence that the 2 most promising young managers that left their respective clubs in the summer for bigger and better things find themselves propping up the rest of the PL?
Yes, TC interesting that by the end of this weeekend's round of matches, both so called 'big teams' will be nearer the bottom of the league than the top!!!!
Massive credit - albeit so early on, to Swansea and Laudrup. I'm waiting for 'new manager syndrome' to kick in at Norwich in much the same way.
I think lambert has now realised what a massive job he has at villa park Thai, they were dire yesterday Early days but it's looking like a long season for them Good to see everton starting off strong for a change as well, they could finish top six this season
I was amazed at the way Fulham took after Man Utd think this year is going to be very interesting Well done Swansea loved the look on Sams face
well i'd bet my mortgage on liverpool finishing above swansea but i'm not so sure i'd do the same with villa finishing above us. fact is, both clubs are massive jobs in terms of changing philosophies and bringing in new players to fit in new systems. things may get worse before they get better. i believe in lambert and think he is as good as i've always said he is so i'm sure he'll get it right but they are by no means safe from relegation this season.
Lambert is a very talented manager but the villa job looks very tough especially without Lerner investing in the team. They could easily get relegated this season and it would be Lerner not Lambert who is to blame
Agreed! I would love to see Villa relegated, not because Paul Lambert is their manager, but simply because we would then only have to better TWO other teams for survival! I will always be grateful to Paul Lambert for what he did on behalf of the team I love and would never wish him personally any harm whatsoever!
