Smug.... Yes that's how I felt walking out of the ground today, and how great it is to see so many happy faces, sexy football is what many of us called for....... Del answered, and what another great display of football, we ran circles around them and yet again wolfman dominated, bit sloppy the goals we conceded but with that new cb coming in it could make up even more deadly Match ratings Heaton - 6 kicking was a bit iffy but overall played well Wilson - 6 got forward well and never looked to troubled Carey - 6 did what he had to and made a few good tackles Fonts - 6 partnered Carey well and put in a vital tackle in the 2nd half Cunningham - 7 what a buy gets well brilliantly and he's like another attacker Adomah - 7 gave Cardiff defense trouble all game, shooting could of been better Skuse - 6 did what he had too Mr reliable! Pearson - 6 took his chance well and deserved his goal Woolford - 8 my motm brilliant passes a completely different player, like a new signing and deserved 2 goals maybe more! Stead - 7 lead the line well and again dominated Cardiff as he usually does Taylor - 6 could of scored himself, formed a good partnership with stead
Bit stingy with the old scores there Shiny.... Why West Ham let Sam Baldock go is completely beyond me....!
That's just my opinion, and yeah the guy was class and a lot faster than Maynard, with the style we are playing now he will score a **** load
Despite the two conceded I'd say it was an improvement over Tuesday in every respect. Got the time myself so might follow suit after you shiny and do my own ratings... Heaton - 6 Conceding two was unlucky and betrays his ability. Made some good saves and never looked dodgy when making himself available as an outlet. Kicking did let him down a couple of times, as you said. Wilson - 7 Untroubled all game. For most of the game Adomah and him didn't seem to be on the same wave-length but he proved to be a fantastic selection and Foster will do well to unseat him. Carey - 6 Renaissance man never looked flustered even when Cardiff really turned on the pressure. We all know his limits but he continues to be invaluable. Fontaine - 6 Similarly strong; will probably be annoyed at some of the Cardiff breaks but overall he looked like the mainstay CB we all know he can be. Cunningham - 7 Young, hesitant and still gelling with Woolford, which makes the prospect of them getting better even more mouth-watering. Even when he was caught out of position he charged back and made up for it every single time. Adomah - 6 Players seemed to stand off of him based on reputation alone. Drifted to the middle way too often and slowed to a crawl with forty minutes of the game to go. Still showed quality even though I think he could have done more when Cardiff pressed. Skuse - 7 Indispensable. Now looks a completely different class to Elliott and Kilkenny in all respects. Pearson - 6 Made up for his dodgy cross with a goal though often fell too deep and invited pressure. If we signed a new midfielder I'd expect him to make way but I have no issue with him staying in the first eleven. Woolford - 8 The relationship between him and the gaffer must be special as to bring him back to confidence after the Gills game and give him the belief to play as he has been... Genuinely like a new signing. Stead - 7 Shame he didn't get his goal but he was a fantastic outlet as per usual. Taylor - 6 Would have given a 7 for workrate alone but he proved his selection warranted and I'd be more than happy to see him start again. Baldock - 8 The definition of an impact sub. Confidence shone from his every action and the fans took to him as soon as he came on. Davies - 6 Did nought wrong in his 9 minutes. God we've got so many options... Elliott - 5 Looked cumbersome though the pace of the game had quickened and I wouldn't say he looked bad. Expect him to improve.
How come shiny's man Elliott got such a low score? Be careful not to upset shiny with low scores for his hero. Memo to shiny: With the team playing like this I bet the thought of coming to pastures new is on hold - and who can blame you? Just think another couple of years and you'll be booking your tickets to see City play at the Nou Camp. Shine on!

Every player was excellent in a well drilled side. Best thing (besides 4 fantastic goals) was our shape when they had the ball. Up to now Martin Scott has been my favourite of many brilliant LBs at City. Cunningham could be the very best.
Woolford - hmmm, didn't we have a player with a similar name playing for us last season? That one was pretty poor I seem to remember, but this one looks fantastic!!
I'm just going up Evelyn's for a Steak Pie,Battered Jumbo Sausage and Chips, back in 2 hours,Having a pint on the way.....
Evelyn's, is that on the corner by parsons street Wiz? used to go there as a kid on me way home to the woods, been there for years, lovely chips back then. Great result today, couldn't make it down, but from what i read was a fantastic result against a very decent Cardiff side.
