Bit to early for me to get up and listen to the game today but what a surprise to see the final result. Finally we have overcome the giant Cardiff demons and sounding good in the process with an added bonus of Baldock scoring on his debut. Welcome to the new Ashton Gate son and remember that you have joined a team that is run by Derek McInnes and therefore second best is never an option.

How many of you are gloating over a bevvy right now and shaking yourselves to make sure it's real? Has the team that we have waited for finally arrived after several seasons of questioning decisions made at the top?

Ship shape and Bristol fashion is the new order of the day and long may it continue. Thank you Derek for giving us renewed hope and a second thanks to SL for his continued love of this club, and I truly believe that although we may not be there just yet but the train has left the station at full steam ahead.

Can't wait to see the threads of people at the game.

Early days Mike but Baldock looks an EXCELLENT signing - looked dangerous every time he had the ball, ran the channels, hit the side netting within 30 seconds of coming on, hit the post with the rebound going to Woolly to score the 3rd and took his chance with style. All that in 26 minutes.....

Also a word for Davies who only had 10 minutes but he also looked full of threat and showed us what we want to see from an aggressive centre forward- the Cardiff no. 3 will certainly remember him having been dumped on the ground several times...!

Already looking ahead to the two Bs of Barnsley and Blackburn.

The former took a battering today and they're the sort of away visit we usually get a result from - but I'll be happy with a point. The latter is interesting... With similar support and spirit I can only see one winner. People say that ten games are a good indication of where you are, but if we get our first away win then do over a relegated Prem team I think that'll go out the window and expectation will start to creep in after only five.

Speaking of five, it's been that many years since such a sense of optimism has pervaded every aspect of this club of ours.
