Rumours are gathering pace, we will pay a couple of million and give them Ricco and Frazier in exchange for Dempsey. Good deal? I think so.

If this happened I could only imagine it would mean Sess leaving.

Would we be a better team with Dempsey just behind Fletcher? 17 goals last year suggest that we may just be.

Still think he'll go to Liverpool in deadline day, or West Ham/QPR if it fell through

I'd snap their hands off for that deal, although I do agree with Parker, we can't fit him, Sess, McLean, Seb & AJ into one team, wonderful as it sounds in theory.

Would I swap Dempsey for Sess?

Personally, no I wouldn't, superb player that Dempsey is, and as much as I'd love him at the club, players that excite like Sess are as rare as front teeth in the Bigg Market, I maintain my stance that we build around Sess.

After seeing his recent behaviour I would say no, disgraceful the way he has went about trying to engineer a move

Play him in midfield in place of Seb. Johnson and jimmy on the flanks with Catts alongside Dempsey.
Sess in front of them with fletcher up top.

Dempsey is a perfect player for the 451 to 442 systems we will adopt this term.

I think Sess can play in the same team and its Gardener and McClean that will make way. Dempsey can operate in a midfield 5 or a front 2 equally well and I'd love to see him.

Forget this latest stuff a Fulham, as none of up know what he has been promised or has been told. Maybe this is his only option.

Maybe I don't care if he comes here its his last move in English football, so he will give us a good 3 years at least.

I may be mistaken but I cant remember Bent refusing to play? I remember him barely playing hence tried to engineer the move via twitter, however Dempsey played all of last season...

I'd rather we went for dembele tbh, cracking player and he fills more of a need than dempsey. I think after the AJ acquisition, if we can hold onto sess, we're more or less sorted going forward, I still see our holding midfielders as a weakness though. Dembele would be perfect for us, he's fantastic at breaking up play and winning the ball back but he also carries it forward with purpose and can pick out a decent pass. Him + Catts/JC/Seb holding with AJ JMac Sess and Fletcher up top? Yes please!!!

No offense. But there's not a cat in hell's chance of you guys getting Dembele. Utd have already seen two bids turned down.

Think your wrong there. Does he go to United to be a squad player or to a club like Sunderland looking to progress and challenge top 8 where he will likely play every week. With our statement of intent think the latter may apply and if we were interested we could tempt him here.

A lot of good players are within reach for us now, simply by who we have brought in and been linked to. This is a good time for SAFC
